Just Booked our trip to DLRP in Feb 2012, need advise on taking 2year old DD

Hi Everyone as the title say Ive just booked our DLRP trip for feb next year me and my family have been may time before with be the 1st for my other half he's excited to say the least but it will be the 1st time with a young one ( our daughter will be 2 and a half).
And really kinda need some advise for people that have been with younger ones - ive find prices of buggies which will be a must be kinda from there im stumped any advise would be fab, or experiences?

Hi. Lucky you having booked!

We took DD1 to DLP when she was nearly 3. Stayed at the Cheyenne so got to meet some characters before and after breakfast at the hotel - always a good start to the day.

She loved It's A Small World - we ended up going on it 6 or 7 times.

Sometimes the size of the characters can be a bit scary for little ones so for a few weeks before our trip I kept mentioning that they would be really big and she was fine when we got there.

She cried through the parades as the music was just too loud for her so for our next trip (with DD1 then age 4 and DD2 age 1) we bought ear defenders. DD1 still wanted hers but DD2 wasn't fussed at all so that really does depend on the child. Thought I'd mention it as it was something I hadn't considered.

Also we took a portable potty (Potette) with us just for those little emergencies.

Sure your little girl will have a fab time.

We took our DD in March this year and she was 2 years 9 months. She loved it. Was only scared by Captain Hook and just LOVED all the other characters. She went on every ride that she would get on and asked to go back on a few but Orbatron was her favourite.

She walked nearly all the time but we had the buggy with us for our other daughter (8 weeks when we went) and she only asked to sit in a few times.

We booked this morning for my birthday in November so she will see it at Christmas too. Can't wait!!!!!
