Just booked our first stay at the Fort !

I finally convinced Dh that we should camp at the Fort this summer when we bring our kids and my 2 neices.

2 adults, 5 kids ! It's much cheaper for us to stay at the Fort camping.

I'm probably nuts considering tenting in JULY ! with the heat but it's either that or spend way more than we can afford !

I booked 9 nights and got 6 day base tickets. I've never done base tickets before. Usually a hopper.

But I want this to be a more laid back trip with no commando park !

I figure we will make the most of the EMH in the evenings.

I wish I could find somewhere to rent a tent trailer and I'll keep looking but so far I haven't found anything except RV's or Motorhomes which are more than I can spend at this point.

Our 9 nights and 6 day tickets for 7 is only $ 2233.00.

I want us to have some days off the parks ! We haven't done that before but we really want to explore the Fort. And I would love to do the Mickey's Backyard BBQ & Hoop De Doo.

Wooohooo I get to start planning another trip !

Thanks ! We did look at that but with a 9 night stay it would add 2000.00 to our trip. between the rental plus upgrading the site.

So sad as it makes me I can't rent it from her. As much as I would love to.

But if I find a tent trailer rental place anywhere I'll probably get that since they can go in the same campsite.

Check your local rv dealerships for pop up rentals. We have several that rent pop ups as well as motorhomes and travel trailers. But you'll have fun no matter what you camp in.

I don't know if you have ever tent camped before,, LOTS of people do, as I have, and it's loads of fun ! And I can tell you now, no better place to camp than the Fort,,no matter the time of year! And this being yout first time to the Fort,,you'll be back again and again,,ya'll are gonna have a blast.!
