Just booked May1st-12th 2017, crowds info & any advice welcome

hi we r coming from uk and have booked a split stay at our 2 dvc resorts BWV & SSR

it's been a couple of years since our last visit.

What will the crowds be like? Am I right in thinking there's no fantasmic show anymore ?

Are park hours still posted about 6 months out? Could someone provide a link of where to check for emh's

What new rides r there? I'm excited to see Frozen at Norway

Early May is moderate for crowds; elementary and high schools are still in session so you will miss that crowd of people. Bring lightweight rain gear (hats and cheap ponchos) unless you want to pay Disney prices for them - it will rain nearly every day and you will get wet. However, the rain is very rarely an all-day thing, just an hour or two.

I had to smile, coming from the uk we r used to rain. However I'd take Florida warm rain over uk cold rain any day

I love the UK, and Orlando in May is similar in that the weather is either "raining" or "not raining but probably soon" - but you're right, the temperature - and humidity - is the difference!

It's still running. I know anaheim has a refurb going on, not sure if they plan to refurb it in florida (I doubt it, there's not that much opened at hollywood now).

They have been horrible at posting times lately and if this continues the park hours won't be accurate until middle of april next year. Not kidding, they just posted july late last week and there is still a week that looks funny/too early.
