Just booked GF -- AAA question

We made a reservation (for our first trip) through Disney for a 2 BR at BWV for 5 nights in early Dec - but they told us no AAA discounts were available for the package (room plus tickets). When we tried AAA they couldn't get us a room there at all. Does Disney only offer AAA if they are trying to get rid of rooms? I guess the villas are pretty busy that time of year because of the Christmas celebrations. I'm afraid we're going to end up paying rack rate, but we feel like we don't have much of a choice because we have 8 people in our party. I don't know if it is likely to get a AP discount closer to the date, either, if AAA isn't even available...

There are only a certain amount of rooms/room types available with the AAA discount. It's possible that someone might cancel who booked the AAA discount, and you could apply the discount to your reservation. I would keep calling back.

Also - other resorts might still have available AAA discounts. I know when I booked initially, POFQ and CSR didn't have any available, but POR and CBR did. But only certain room types. Then I switched us to WL, and they only had woods view with the discount. If you can be flexible with the resort and/or room type, you might be able to get a discount.
