Sooooo far away but feels good to have the room booked for the time! Now we at least have a target date! :wizard:

Pop Century this time ... :hippie:

And so begins the count down!

Wait. You were able to book this far in advance? We just decided last week that we'd be returning in August 2015 as well, so of course, being super excited I went to the Disney site to look at prices and it said they did not have pricing for that far ahead.

Has the site been updated? Tell me your secret :)

I think you can do a room only booking at 500 days out, package details for next year won't be released until this summer.

We are planning our first trip to WDW next fall, so excited and so much planning to do!

Have fun planning!!

Thanks!

So am I correct in thinking that the package prices come out 1 year in advance? So if we are planning to book a package starting on August 1, 2015, then I can book my package August 1, 2014?

It's going to hurt sitting and waiting...and waiting ;)

I believe you make a room-only reservation, leaving a deposit based on the current rack rate for that time of year. Once the new rates are announced, your rates are adjusted to match the new prices.

We're planning on Nov 2015, so there/s no problem waiting for the new rates to come out this summer since it's near the end of the year. If I was going early in the year, I'd book before the new rates come out, especially if I needed to grab a good price on flights.:)

I'm waiting to see if we can get a bounce-back offer when we visit early August 2014.

Us too. We've been "bouncing back" in August for a number of years now. :thumbsup2

So, how do you find the heat and humidity in August? I've thought about going then, but the thought of Florida during the hottest months just messes with my mind. I imagine that I'd be stuck in the room the whole time. It was plenty hot for us in early April this year with temps in the high 80s and low 90s. ::yes::

I'm not going to lie. It's bleeping hot! But it usually rains daily too. We welcome the rain. It's easy to pack. No pants or long sleeve shirts are ever necessary. We try to stay out of the mid day sun. We hit the parks early and do mostly indoor attractions mid day. Night time is just as hot, but since there is no sun, it's a welcome relief.

We've been going in August for so long that the extreme heat and humidity feels normal. Infact we went to DW last October and December as well. The weather felt very strange to us because we are so used to the heat. :upsidedow

I love that you booked!! We are planning for September 2015 and I have been dying to book! We`ll be 499 days out on the 29th of this month, but will probably wait until September or October to book. I am soo excited to book, but reading that you actually did makes me sooooo much more excited! It's getting closer and more real everyday!!!

Exactly what Disneylover said. We always go in August and yes, it is ridiculously hot, but it doesn't really bother us too much because we do the same things...hit the parks early, take full advantage of Indoor attractions and we are always sure to have lots of water, hats, sunscreen etc. with us. I can't imagine going any other time, it would feel strange to us! August 2015 can't come fast enough :)

Yes as noted we only could book our room! Its not until later this year that the "PACKAGES" become available for our trip next year!

We like to book early even if it is just the room because Disney easily changes our reservation and its easy to pay off the vacation as we just call Disney and give them some money as needed rather than hold on to it and possibly SPEND IT! but more so its just nice to have something officially on paper so we can start a countdown :hyper:
