I understand that Palo is an excellent place to eat...
and I know you need reservations
Can you tell me a couple of things please
1. Is this an adult only restaurant?
2. Is there any additional charge to eat here?

Thanks!

Yes, this is an adult only resturant and its $5.00 per person to eat!
Hope this helps.

You need to make all your Palo reservations the first afternoon you are on the ship. Get there 15 minutes prior to the stated time they will start taking reservations.

Dinner is $5 per person for the cover charge but you will want to tip more. :) Brunch is $10 per person and includes one glass of champagne each. Again, you will get such excellent service you will want to tip more. The High Tea is free and also books up quickly.

Enjoy! :)

If you find that you have to choose, I'd suggest choosing brunch over dinner. Both are wonderful, but the brunch is pretty fantastic. In a perfect situation, you should do all 3.

I'm not sure I would use the term "cover charge." It's not a cover charge or premium meal charge. According to the official DCL site, "There is a service charge of $5 per Guest for gratuities." Yes, you may want to tip more, but the $5 per person also goes to gratuities.

As I understand it, Palo brunch and Palo high tea only served on the 7-night cruise, not on the Disney Wonder. I agree that Palo brunch is excellent. It was the most memorable meal of the entire cruise. In comparison, the high tea was a disappointment. (We've enjoyed much better high teas in the UK, Canada, and the US.)

I only have one thing to Add......

Hazelnut Chocolate Souffle

:D

I agree, the brunch is excellent and not to be missed...definitely my favorite of the meals. It's so nice to enjoy Palo during the day.

I would definitely do dinner as well.

High Tea is fun to do once but you definitely are not missing out if you skip it.

And yes, these are only on the 7-night cruise...which WDWtrekker will be on next year. :)

palo is a good deal and has some of the best food on the ship, we went to both the brunch and dinner and had great meals at both. everyone talks about the choc. souffle desert for dinner(which is good, especially with the vanilla ice cream our server erika brought), but for pure INTENSE chocolate, there were some choc. tarts at brunch that were simply deadly.:D i have read a post that said the $5 and $12 charges were only partial tip charges. we figured we had at least an $80 meal, and tipped based on that. you'll want to overtip anyway, as the service is so good.
