Just Booked Dolphin @ Teacher's Rate for 2/27-3/6 2004

For those interested in locking in Teacher/Nurse/Govt. rates into 2004, Starwood booked our trip in late Feb. early March 2004 at $129. We took 2 rooms, requsted connecting rooms, early check-in, late check-out, crib for our GD and waiver of resort fee. Starwood refered us to the direct Dolphin phone number concerning the fee. I've read that it's not waivable and that one can waive half of it. I'll keep you posted on the fee.

were you able to do this online or did yu have to call. I've been checking other starwood places and they aren't showing any availability online

I broke down and called. I also have been not seeing availability past 12/31 of 2003. I e-mailed them about this and the reply was that one could only book online for 2003 dates. They didn't say when, if ever, the 2004 dates would be entered, and I was concerned about being shut out of this rate as we need at least 2 rooms. In addition to that, this is the first item we've locked in for our next trip, more than a year in the future. This makes it seem more real, and is a welcome morale boost in the middle of the worst Pa. winter I've seen in almost a decade. Now I'm going fishing for a Mini-Van rental rate. Any suggestions?
