DH, DS (14), and I just booked Coronado Springs for our first visit to Disney World October 19-27, 2013. Actually, I've visited twice but it was about 25 years ago and so much has changed that I feel like it will be a first visit for me, too. 
I've made a room only AAA discounted reservation for now and will watch for codes and free dining to see if I can get a better deal. We've been Disneyland AP holders for over 5 years now and have decided to give the World a try. Right now, we're planning for DS to participate in a couple of YES activities and purchase our tickets through the YES program.
I'm under the impression that we'll be there during one of the least crowded times of the year and I'm hoping that's true since we have so much to figure out and learn about everything. We'd love to hear any suggestions you might have to make our trip more magical. We'd also love to hear your tour recommendations. We've really enjoyed the ones we taken in California and will probably take one in Disney World. Thanks!
