Just Booked Bonnet Creek for April 2013

I am also looking to book in Nvoember...except the week of Thanksgiving...should I expect to pay more during that period......I'm so envious of ppl getting below $100 rate......though I may need a 3 bedrooms with my parents and all.....how much should I expect to pay for that week? Just started planning....very overwhelmed right now.

I don't know about Thanksgiving, but to give you some perspective, we are booked the week before Easter (3/22-3/30) with Vacation Strategies and our quote for 8 nights for a 2 bedroom is $1298.

Considering it is one of the busiest weeks of the year and that I was able to reserve it at 13 months out (wanted to have something reasonable booked before I dumped a fortune on airfare) I thought it was a reasonable price. Yes I would kill for a rate under $100/night, but I can live with this rate!

Where do most people book just 2 to 4 nights? thanks

They have a picture of a schedule on tripadvisor.com. It is in the guest photos area. It appears that the buses are schedule for every half hour from all the parks.

Since BC is a timeshare, the price you get for a given week will depend on that week's "season." We are going April 12th because that is the first day of a Value season week, which means prices will be at their cheapest.

Thanksgiving is week 47 this year, which also happens to be a Value season week at BC, so I would expect the prices to be similar.

Easter, on the other hand, is week 13 which is a Prime season week at BC. Prime season weeks are the most expensive; a 2BR Deluxe costs double the points in Prime season that is does in Value season, so I expect they will charge you more.

You can find out what dates belong to what week by Googling "timeshare calendar." Then, find that week on the points chart for BC to see what the season is.

Could you please post which April week you will be there?

I am paying $1099 through VS for April 6-12, 2013 and now feel like I got a bad deal from them. :worried:

You have booked at the very end of a "prime" season when units cost the most points. If you can push your dates a week or two later you will be in a "value " season when units require the fewest amount of points and will probably be able to get a lower rate.

I just booked the week of Thanksgiving in 2 br this week. 625.00 for 7 nights. The rate I was quoted for 3 br was 899.00 He mentioned the rates and inventory would be change in the next 10-15 days. You should go ahead and book it asap if your wanting Thanksgiving for the best price. I did use Vacation strtegy

I have the same deal for march 15-22. i am very happy.

I have stayed there 3 ways already. Booked with corp rates through their website. Booked with a rental comapny. now booked with Vacation Strategies.

Since i forgot who i used the last time (rental company), it was 3 years ago. I checked our corp rates. They would have been $1,800.

Rack Rate is $2,243

VS saved $1,100 over rack rate, and $700 over corp rate. i have no problems with my deal.

Not even mentioning the $3,000 it would have cost to go back to Beach Club Villas.

VS just quote me a 3 br deluxe for $1,024 and presidential for $1,324 for 7 nights.....that seems high, does't it? So confused... Does it matter Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday?

I think $1024 is reasonable for a 3BR Deluxe. That's $146/night, but it is higher than the previous poster who got quoted $899 ($128/night) - that's a terrific rate!

I'm not sure why the quotes varied, but I don't think it matters whether you check-in on Saturday or Sunday, because the timeshare "week" includes check-ins Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Maybe somebody else can chime in on why the quotes would vary that much?

Unbelievable, just heard back from Vacation Strategy (I think that may be a record) and they gave me a rate of $625 for 7 nights in April for a 2 bedroom deluxe. That is just over $89 each night. We were originally looking at staying at Disney's All-Star Music, but it was twice that for 6 nights at the same time...:scared1:

Looks like I know where we will be staying :goodvibes

Finny, does this mean you are all set for lodging? Just wanting to confirm if you are still interested in renting the DVC points we had been discussing. Thanks.

For this trip yes, but for the trip this fall/winter we still are looking. It will be an extra special trip for my DD and I want to definitely be on property...

Finny,

I sent you a PM yesterday. Please email me so we can keep in better contact. I have enough points to book for later this year also and would like to see if we can arrange something.

Thanks,
Roger
