Just booked Aulani. Thank you DVC for saving me thousands...

Just booked 9 nights at Aulani just before Easter 2018 - 5 nights in an ocean view studio and 4 nights in a 1 bedroom ocean view. Used all but one of my 2017 and 2018 points (399).

For fun, I priced the trip out on the Aulani website, and 5 nights in a hotel room and 4 nights in a one bedroom over those same nights currently costs $10,731. Yikes!!! Hard to believe that for about $2500 in member dues, I can have accommodation savings of eight grand (about 40% of the total cost of my buy-in back in 2011). Apparently if you want to really justify having DVC, Aulani is the place to do it.

Yep, we would never consider Aulani without renting or owning DVC points. Hope you have a great trip!

I agree! We've been to Aulani twice and there is no way we would've done those trips without points! In fact we are looking to add on at Aulani as we would like to do some trips there at peak times like Christmas and would need that 11 month advantage!

As I calculate it the $2500 covers 399 points would be $6.26/pt in dues.

Stayed at aulani 8 nights in a 1 bedroom after the DCL Hawaii cruise Vancouver to Honolulu. No way will I been able to stay there even in aulani cheapest room if it wasn't for dvc .

We followed you to Aulani on RCCL's Radiance of the Seas in 2015, I guess. I am glad we were able to book our post cruise stay, since we arrived 4 days after you. Happily, not everyone stayed a week!

I have 10 nights in a pool view two bedroom booked over Christmas and New Year -- I think the cash cost with tax will be about 20k!! But all it costs me is three years worth of points -- 790 x $6 = approx $4700!! Yeah!! I'm on my way to having my buy in pay for itself.
