Join me and my friendly banana in doing a nice little celebratory dance!!!

After weeks of waiting for the AP codes, finally phoned tonight. Got AKL from 10 June-18 June for $139 a night!! That's a saving of $800!! It more or less pays for the Annual Passes for me and my Mum!

I'm so happy!! I hope I have as much luck with getting Cindy's this staurday!!

Nick

Oh well done Nick, that's great news!! Is that Savannah View?

That is a tremendous saving. I think we need a banana too

No - it's just for standard view but I ain't complaining. I am soo pleased - from what I have seen, the place looks magical - can anyone give any tips, advice on staying at AKL?

It will be quite a change going from the Days Inn in the first week to AKL!!

Sounds great

Sorry but what are AP codes?

Congratulations, you got an amazing rate! You'll have a magical time - AKL is wonderful.

Vicki - Disney release special discounted room rates for select Disney resorts and dates, exclusively for Annual Pass ("AP") holders. Often, the savings can outweigh the initial outlay of the AP (in place of an "ordinary" ticket) - so it is well worth looking into it.

Yep - that's why I did it. The price for an AP (not a PAP - Premium Annual Pass which includes the water parks and Pleasure Island) is about £230 per person. This gives unlimited access to the parks. I figured I need 8 days on my next trip so would have bought the 14 ticket at about £150. For the extra £80, I get discounts on tours, food, merchandise, loads more, plus, it gives me a ready made excuse to go back next year. This year I'm using it in the second week of my holiday. Next year I'll use it in the first week. Well worth looking into.

:Pinkbounc - sorry, I can't stop bouncing!

Thats great news!!! I am staying here on my next trip and I can't wait!!! Good luck with getting Cindys on Saturday!!!

I'm impressed with this. Does the AP last for calendar year or from when you first use it?

Reid

It's from when you first activate it as far as I can make out - you don't actually need the AP to make the reservation - I didn't even have to give the lovely CM the code. You only need to show it when you check in.

There's a full list of AP benefits available on DIS, Allearsnet and WDWMagic.

Amazing news Nick, I would love to stay at AKL, i have a secret plan for 2007 with AKl involved, but don't tell my DH, he is still getting over the shock of the cost of this trip! :confused3

Good luck with cindys, it is worth ringing at 11;57, when i got my illuminations cruise, i started ringing at 11;57, got connected at 11;59 and got the cruise, was a bit shocked but it worked, good luck.
