Just booked a 4 night sailing on the dream. This will be our first Disney cruise and we are super excited! It will be 2 adults and our daughter who will be 8.
What are the must do's? Any advice and recommendation's would be greatly appreciated. Also any excursion experiences would be great
Thanks

Must do - Relax and have fun. If your DD enjoys the princesses, book the Frozen and Princess meet and greets. Make sure and stop by the future cruise desk, as you will get hooked and want to book another one!

Excursions - What does your family enjoy doing?

Thank you! We are open to any excursions, my husband is not the type of person to sit on the beach for the whole day. I would love too. Lol

Castaway Cay is a great beach day. You can sit all day and he can run around and do activities if he likes!

In Nassau, if you do not want a beach day, I might recommend the Chocolate Factory tour at the Graycliff Hotel. The hotel itself is interesting and the tour gives you a change to create your own chocolates. The tour is not very long, so you would still have time to enjoy the amenities of the ship.

Definitely check out the kids clubs! They will have open house on embarkation day for a few hours so you can go in with your daughter and get her adjusted. When I was younger I loved the kids clubs! When you get on the ship, keep an eye out in the navigator for specific kids activities. During certain times they’ll do special things like make slime, or play group games. That way you can ensure that there will be an activity your daughter likes!

I agree that frozen and princess meet and greets are well loved among most of the little girls, so I would check in for tickets on those. A lot of times there will be other programming like anyone can cook, where you learn how to make a dish from often of the restaurants. Kids can do this with parents, and it’s a good 30-45 min of fun! Some activities that can come up are ticketed, so I would just ask guest services what the ticketed events are for your particular sailing!

We have often done a movie night! In pjs if heading to Buena vista theater or swimsuits if heading to the pool. Bring along some food from the deck or room service/soft serve/mickey bars etc. and you’re sure to have a good time!

Also if the adults fancy a drink, get tickets for a mixology or other beverage seminar/tasting! These are always very fun and worth the price tag! You daughter could spend the 45 minutes in the club if you decided to take part in this.
