Yeah, it was a bad decision on my part. But I'll live. I needed the pick me up.

I'm thinking I may come up a little short come Saturday. But I've got my regular shift tomorrow (6a-2:30p) and then I go back to work at midnight so I want to get lots and lots of sleep.

And I'll totally understand if I'm the only one hanging around on Christmas Eve!!

Hey, Tink from the future!! You'll wake up to Christmas morning before us, you will.

That sucks. Oh I will eventually get on Christmas Eve but I will actually be on more on Saturday.

Yes, Tink Santa visits you first.:goodvibes

I have never heard of those. They sound really good though!

They are good I am gonna buy some tomorrow or Friday I will take a picture to show you.

So you'll be on more on Christmas day?

We're not doing a big old Christmas this year. Although I think I was just told that the family is heading to my Uncle's in Fairfax on Christmas day if I would like to join them. I'll decide when they leave since I don't know how long they'll be out and I still have work at 10p that night.

But lounging at home always means I'll be around.

Yeah we tend to celebrate on Christmas Eve. It has been that way since I was a kid.

I always love to hear what everyone's traditions are.

When my Grandparents (bio-dad's side) lived nearby we would spend Christmas Eve with them with a big fancy dinner, my sister and I would get to play dress up with my grandmothers clothes and make up while my grandfather got a neighbor to act as Santa up on the roof so when we were done we would come down the stairs to find the newspaper laid on the floor (so Santa didn't make a mess) littered with black foot prints leading from the fireplace and exchange our gifts with them. When we got home we got to open up one gift, which were always our new Christmas PJ's.

Man, I miss those days!!

Tomorrow if Christmas eve for me :goodvibes

We are going to look at Christmas Lights tonight, I will take plenty of photos for you all

Just seeing you get to say 'tomorrow' and 'Christmas Eve' in one sentence is kind of awesome. Can't wait to see the photos. That's always a fun time. Always some great ones. Always some hilarious ones.

I think I just may be getting into the Christmas spirit, finally.

When I was a little girl we would drive around and look at the Christmas lights and we would come home so my dad "could go to the bathroom" and then he would get all of our presents out while we waited in the car for him. He would come out and say something like Santa had come or we would go out again and when we got home there would be presents waiting for us.

We did it like that because we would go to my grandparents house and I would sit in the kitchen and watch my grandpa cook the dinner. That man was my favorite person in the world. I loved him more than my parents, I hate to say that but he was so special. I could sit with him and talk to him for hours and he would listen to everything I had to say. When my parents would shut me up he never did. I miss him so much, I really do.

I know what you mean though. I'm that way with my Grandmother. She's the most amazing person in my life. It's not that I don't love my parents, but she's just extra-special. It's been hard living a couple of states away from her. I'm so beyond blessed to have her in my life (and I totally got a little teary eyed thinking about her). I can't imagine what my life will be like when she's gone.

Thats so sweet, I was never close to my grandpa. I really wish we were, he likes my brother more than me. I think its more of a gender thing, I don't know. I love my grandma though, she is a great cook too :goodvibes

When I came out of my coma in 2007 the first thing I remember is being told my grandpa was dead. It was rough.

I had a grandpa like that too. My dads father. He was not an easy man to be close to.

Well, you're only about 16 away! I wont get to 6,000 tonight. Hopefully tomorrow if I'm lucky. But that will depend on who (if anyone) is online.

I'm needing to get to bed though. I procrastinated too much last night and got very little sleep. Made work early on a total drag.

I have been traveling around the boards. Sherry has been updating her trip report so that is where I have posted some of these.

I need to go and catch up on Sherry's TR. I haven't wanted to read it while I've been in a foul mood so I can actually have something to comment.
