I have a best friend whose husband doesn't do the chick flicks so her and I go together. And that is our way to hang out and get away. Her and I are talking about Disneyland after the first of the year and they are running that 4th night free thing then so I am kind of excited about that.

Oh I hope you are able to get to go to Disneyland! After next weeks trip I will probably not go for awhile... I'm thinking my Birthday in June...

I don't know that I will ever get to stay in an official Disney Resort hotel as money is very tight and that is a lot of money for a place to sleep. I envy those that are able to swing it though.

I am hoping those deals are for good neighbors too. I am not planning to stay onsite at this moment at least.

We went last June the week following the Friday opening of WoC and it was insane. Had of known that WoC was opening that weekend we would not have gone.

Honestly I think that you could miss the last one and it wouldn't make that much difference. The sixth movie was awful.

I am currently up to the second book, I am a little behind :lmao:

Good morning girls!
Funny story, theres this boy who works in a fish and chip shop near my work. I basically fell in love with him the first time I saw him and always have to walk past to take a look :rotfl:
Anyway, some of my friends and I went out to a club on Saturday night and I was looking through the photos AND HE WAS THERE!!!!! I didnt even see him!?

Anyway, he was tagged via facebook in one of them so I took a gamble and added him, and he accepted! Now he wants me to go say hi to him today

Creepy but good in a way, yes yes???

I think it's not a bad way to get to know someone. Especially someone you are attracted to. It's all good.

I disagree. If you haven't read the books or seen the movies, the 6th one is pretty important to setting up what happens in this one. I went with a friend who I didn't know hadn't read Half-Blood Prince, or seen the movie (which by the way I loved -- I still think Goblet of Fire was the worst of them), and while she loved the movie visually and the performances she had absolutely no idea what was going on.

The movie was made to cater to those of us who have read the books and have a general understanding of what is going on.

But I loved it. Seen it twice. Debating on if I'll see it again tomorrow or go see Tangled (but I'm seeing that on Monday anyway and I don't know if I'll love it enough to pay for it a second time).

So this one sticks closer to the book than has happened in the past? That is a good thing.

OH YES. It follows the book better than any of the movies to date in my opinion. Yeah, I can list a lot of stuff that was left out and a few things that were added, but considering what they kept in, I can't complain about it.

I could talk about it all day, but I don't want to give anything away, lol.

I loved it. LOVED it. ;) My favorite HP film. But I am so sad about Part 2. I know I will bawl my eyes out for sure.

Oh I am thrilled to hear it. I plan on seeing it next week when the kids are back in school.

I am sad that it is all over. I have loved the books. And the movies on their own.

Well, we've still got a few months! It wont officially be over until July. But it's a little heartbreaking all the same. Life definitely would not be the same without Harry Potter.

Let me know what you think when you see it. I hope you wont be disappointed. I thought it was absolutely brilliant.

What was it that you didn't like about HBP, if you don't mind my asking.

Anything is better than the last 2, they were the worst adaptations EVER! They actually made me refuse to spend anymore money on HP at the theater, so I will wait for the DVD of the new one.

Oh Yeah ... my hubby likes those movies too... I make hubby take me to a chick flick every once in awhile but not very often.. I usually wait till they are on dvd and then Blockbuster express or redbox them and watch them while he is sleeping or out of town...

aww sweet paula. i do red box also! red box is awesome, you really can't beat the prices!! :goodvibes im so glad i am not the only one that does red box!! :cloud9:

I seriously fell asleep in the theater for the last one waiting for them to fight their way through the school which NEVER happened. So boring.

It definitely wasn't my favorite of the series. That and a couple of other omissions irked me for sure (and what was with Harry's opening scene at the train station). But I hated the way they butchered GoF. They made up for it all this time around, even including some things that they should have put in the last couple of films so it's a little odd that they randomly show up and we have to know what they are already (again, caters to those who have read the book).

The lack of actually following the story. They paid too much attention to the social aspect and not enough to the real meat of the story.

The last movie the worst for me and the fifth book for me.

I still think 4 was the worst of the bunch.

I loved the book for the fourth one.

It was not the excitement it should have been. I thought they needed to pay more attention to the parts with the Malvoy family and that part of Riddle.

I agree that they butchered GoF.

I can't say too much about the HP movies. I have seen all but the 6th one, but have trouble following them for some reason. I don't know if its just cause they're not my thing or what. I still plan on watching them, just to say that I have. Maybe I'll start from the beginning and try again. I have 3 of them that I bought at a second hand shop. One thing I do like about #4 is Cedric Diggory. :lovestruc

I so would have loved to have seen more about the Gaunt family. Especially considering how they tie in with the Peverel's.

I consider DH.1 Yate's redemption. The same for Kloves as well. I haven't really liked what he's done with the scripts in the past. Much better effort.

And one of my biggest complaints acting wise was always Emma Watson/Hermione. She was spectacular this time around.

The big difference would be: have you read the books?

To try and follow the movies alone, yeah it will be very choppy. Different directors have different takes on what is important. The entire scenery/layout of Hogwarts changed between the 2nd and 3rd film when Caron directed.

I've been annoyed at how, other than the actors, they haven't been focusing on telling a seamless story.
