My ex had a wheat intolerance, it is in EVERYTHING

Yep. I got very good at reading labels. Not just of food, but soaps, lotions, make up - you name it.

I get really annoyed when people say they have an allergy to something, but they don't really. If you don't like something just say so. A dislike won't kill you, an allergy will!. I used to take two different preventative medications 3 times a day, then I had two puffers, pills and a nebuliser for when the preventative stuff didn't work, and if all else failed it was an ambulance and the hospital. At least once a week. Okay off my soap box now.

And a (now) funny story (it wasn't at the time). When hubby and I first started dating we had dinner at his parents, she didn't believe I'm allergic to seafood and used a minute amount of something in the recipe she made. She figured if I didn't know I was eating it that I would like it. Now I tell everyone my MIL tried to kill me the first time we met :rotfl:

That is funny!!

Wow... that had to be difficult!

How did you get over most of the allergies?

I'm not entirely sure. I don't think I was allergic to everything on that list, but the allergist removed all that stuff from my daily diet. I'd been having reactions that varied from hives to vomiting, diarrhea, and asthma. Cutting everything out, made a huge difference. After about 2 years I was allowed to slowly start introducing small amounts of certain foods. First was tomatoes, mushrooms and onions. That was all good. 6 months later I added strawberrries. They gave me hives. So now more strawberries, then 8 weeks after the reaction to the strawberries I was allowed to introduce dairy and so on. It took two more years before the specialists narrowed it down to an actual allergy to shellfish, crustaceans and strawberries. And an intolerance but not an allergy to wheat and dairy.

I am loving not having to get up early and go out in the cold.

I have had a headache for a while. Take care of yourself and enjoy Tangled. Be sure and let me know how good it is. I have wanted to see this since I saw the poster in June.

Me either. I think the last movie I went to see was Sex in the City 2. It was awful.

The last movie I saw in the theatre was Step Up 3-D I think...

I'm hoping the theatre isn't too packed in the morning... if it is I may wait to see the movie...

I am waiting to see Harry Potter until next week for that reason.

Yeah, I had someone ask if I wanted to see Harry Potter but I've never read the books and missed the last movies so I said I would pass.

Honestly I think that you could miss the last one and it wouldn't make that much difference. The sixth movie was awful.

I've heard its LONG and DARK though and the way I've been feeling I think I would just fall asleep!

Oh gosh that reminds me of the summer that Pirates of the Caribbean 2 came out. It was really hot, we don't have air conditioning so we were going to the movies to stay cool. The only movie the kids would agree on was that one so we went to see it like 3 or 4 times. Now I do not sleep well when it is hot so I was really tired. I did not manage to see the movie the whole way through until is came out on dvd. Our theater has comfortable seats.

Yeah... I'm pretty good at falling asleep at movies... Especially if I go without getting enough sleep. I used to fall asleep a lot more when I worked early mornings.. I'm trying to be better!

The last movie I remember falling asleep during is The Informant... I didn't like that movie at all! Thank goodness I got a free preview to it and didn't pay for it at all!

My DH likes to see all these movies I don't want to see. Like those JA movies based on that certain MTV show. I don't like those stupid type of movies. I told him when he was whining about wanting to see it I told him I don't make him see the chick flicks with me so I expect the same.

Oh Yeah ... my hubby likes those movies too... I make hubby take me to a chick flick every once in awhile but not very often.. I usually wait till they are on dvd and then Blockbuster express or redbox them and watch them while he is sleeping or out of town...

I have a best friend whose husband doesn't do the chick flicks so her and I go together. And that is our way to hang out and get away. Her and I are talking about Disneyland after the first of the year and they are running that 4th night free thing then so I am kind of excited about that.
