This is totally random, and totally off disney-related topics but....

If you could go to any of our 50 states for vacation OTHER then California for DL purposes, or FL for WDW purposes...where would you go and why?

We're trying to figure out where to go with our tax moolah!

Good day to my favorite people!!! Opperating on about 60% today, which was better then yesterday's 45%. My ears are just KILLING me. Hope everyone has gotten their flu shot, or some other remedy that'll keep them sick-free this season.

Tink, hope the laundry goes as planned. If not, you could always go shopping. :littleangel:

Michele, I absolutely love that the offspring is complaining about something you're uninterested in as well. :hippie:

Jazz, I am with you on the history front. I really don't care to know what happened a bazillion years ago. I feel like a schmuck for sayin' it - but it's true. I don't think I can ever be interested in it.

Meredith, I wear glasses so I notice things like this and I meant to say something about your black pair so I'll combine to save time and say that I :lovestruc all the pairs of glasses I have seen on you!!!

Goofy_Mom, thanks so much for the poncho information. It saves a lot of time (was actually looking into them for rides and such for our DL trip). It's like having a personal shopper! :woohoo:

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I am sorry you are not at 100% but 60 beats 45 for sure.

I am totally lame I love to visit places like Yosemite, and actually I never considered Hawaii. Yes, I am lame.:rotfl:

Hawaii!!!! :thumbsup2 I love it there.

I have never been.

See, that's the thing, I don't think you're lame at all. That's why I asked, because we kind of feel like we're picking something that EVERYONE thinks of. Like it's the obvious place to go and we're over looking some place equally as cool...and less expensive.

Have you ever been to Yosemite?

We were thinking of the Arches as well...

So I just got home from the mall! I got to help my mom find pants at Nordstrom  so much fun. Then we went to the Disney Store!!! There wasn't as huge a selection of adult t-shirts as I'd hoped, but we managed to get some stuff. I'll take pictures and post them to my TR. My brother says he is coming over for me to cut his hair, so we'll see if I get that done before or after.

I have an answer to the poncho question. The expensive ones at Target are the super-heavy duty type. I think those ones are jacket/pant combos, but don't quote me on that. Target, Walmart, and Bass Pro Shop all have the style similar to DL's They come in three or four different color (red, blue, and I think yellow and green). They are $1.99 to $3.99. I bought them for my hiking pack, the package is fairly small. You'll find them in the camping section of all the stores I've mention. Bass Pro will be a little more expensive, but it's an awesome store if you like the outdoors.

Hmm, the one's I saw weren't a combo just the heavier duty poncho. I will go check out the actual store for other options, as well as Walgreens and such. I just really don't want them to be cheapy throwaway kind. If it rains all three days that we are there(who knows if it will rain at all?) I'd want to be able to wear them all three days.

Good to know Disney's price. I don't think they're bad. The material is pretty thick from what I remember too.

Good. I appreciate the input. I don't know why I'm getting so weird about ponchos of all things :rotfl:

Thank you! Heh, I honestly have 5 pairs of glasses and 2 pairs of prescription sunglasses. I get bored easily so it's nice having options. I just recently got a green pair that I am loving right now.

Ironically I thought of the Arches too. Someone did a trip report combining Disneyland and the Arches and the pictures were so beautiful.

And yes, I have been. It was years ago but there is so much beauty there.

I got new glasses last month. Two pairs even. One pair that I bought is made from recycled materials. I love them.

I have had the same pair (true red) for like, EVER and a day. I really need a new pair but can't seem to part from my beloved. I just love them, despite them being bought at Walmart. :lmao:

I hate shopping for glasses. I am SO picky. In my opinion they can make or break my face, obviously, not literally but you get my meaning...

Cool! I love different glasses.

I am planning and getting more after the first of the year.

I had my last pair of glasses so long that I totally had to have new ones. I am really picky too so I was thrilled to find two sets of frames that I like.

I'm incredibly picky too. I did buy my last 4 pairs(2 regular, 2 sunglasses) at this website called zennioptical.com Um... the glasses are CHEAP, and they just redesigned the whole website. You can now even upload a picture of yourself and do a virtual "try on" thing. So even though I'm picky, with the price and the ability to get some idea of how they'd look on me, I was willing to try it out. I haven't been disappointed either. I think one pair I got started at $8 for frames and single-vision prescription(it's a little extra for progressive or high-index). Then I think it was $4.99 for anti-reflective coating or a sunglasses tint.

Ach. Sorry for that sounding like an advertisement, I just thought I'd share since it's made it possible for me to have more options.

What? Sorry, I didn't hear you. I wasn't paying attention cause I'm on the zennioptical website. :lmao:

I remember you mention that before. I should do that with the girls.

Yeah! Especially if they were anything like me as a teenager. I wasn't incredibly careful with my things so I don't know why anyone bought me $150 glasses  Plus I think you can get some more trendy glasses(like my big ones) without feeling like they will go out of style before you've worn them enough to make the cost worth it.

I hate shopping for sunglasses, I love raybans but my face doesnt suit the real ones so I have to buy cheapo ones, I love mine at the moment, they are cream wayfarers with 2 little birds on the corners instead of the metal circle

I have fake ones too, though mine have stars on them. Birds sound soo cute.

Well, yeah. And you know it is nice to have a second pair of glasses.

They make them to fit every face and it doesn't always work.

I inevitably lose or break my sunglasses, so I always buy cheap ones. My current pair are from Target, were $7, and are a purple/rose color. Plain, but cheap!

My last pair were about $10, had sparkles, and were broken while riding the Matterhorn :confused3

I bought bicycle sunglasses for our last trip and they fit so nicely that they stayed on me on all rides.
