Arrived back yesterday morning after a great 2 weeks in Orlando.
Flew with Travel City Direct who were excellent and on time(early on the return flight).Had a lovely 5 bed villa in indian creek with a great pool and games room for the kids, couldnt believe how close to animal kingdom we were by using the sherbeth road.
Managed all the parks and still think epcot is my fave although IOA runs it close. Also watched dollys dixie stampede which was good but i preferred arabian nights when we last went(except the food!).
Got soaked at Animal kingdom as Hurricane wilma approached and stayed inside the villa from 5pm untill 1pm the next day when it was still blowy so we had a shopping day.
If anyone has any questions i will try and answer as best i can,i know how much help this site has been for my family on our trip.
Cheers!

Welcome Home

Glad everything went ok...sounds like you've had a good time :)

Sounds like you were in the Thunder and Rain storm on the Sunday afternoon. The one that hit just as the 4pm parade finished.

welcome back!
did you book the villa directly? as part of a package?

Hi,

Glad you had a great time...
With regards to Indian Creek, we're off in Feb next year and was wondering what you thought of Indian Creek itself? Is there a supermarket nearby etc? Also is it far from the other Disney Parks ? And finally, we've heard about a new freeway thats under construction in the area, is that intrusive? Roadworks and noise etc..

Many thanks

Hi we have stayed on Indian Creek before and will do next year too.

It is ideal, a good mixture of 4/5 bedroom homes, most of them fairly new.

Takes less than 5 minutes to get to the junction of the 192, turn left there and there is a Publix supermarket about a mile or so up on the right hand side.

Access to Disney and the I4 is very good, I would say 15 minutes to Disney parks on average.

As for the new freeway, that is being built near the bridge as you enter the development, so it depends on where the home is situated. The majority will not be affected but I guess you may need to ask the owners before you book.

Welcome home! Sounds like a great trip!

Hi all-thanks for your kind words.
Some answers........
Yes it was just after the parade in AK when we got soaked.
The villa i booked seperate from the net-i didnt want the risk of not knowing where the villa would be or what it was like.
As for Indian creek johnny sharp has answered the questions well-the roadworks didnt hinder us at all and as ive said use the sherbeth road for the disney parks-the universal parks take around 20 mins to reach.
By the way dont eat at a place called taste of china at formosa blvd-worst meal we ever had,if you like chinese eat at golden china. Also getting the vote are Golden coral, outback steakhouse and red lobster.
Cheers

Glad to hear that Wilma did not affect the trip too badly.

Welcome home.
