"and the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down"

Not a bad trip. The rain for 4 of our 7 days put a bit of a damper on things and apparently the weather was about 15 degrees below normal

Drive down and back were smooth. Total gas cost for a Montana mini-van was around $400 for 9 days of driving.

CSR- early check-in, upgraded to water view, and the section I had hoped for. Nice resort.

SSR- also nice but way to spread out. Just didn't give me that homey feel that WLV did. Price was right though. I rented for $9/point.

Meals- great dinners at O'Hana's, 50's Prime time and a few character breakfasts. The brekky at Crystal Palace was excellent. Also went for breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe and that was a hoot.

Got a sneak preview of the new car stunt show at the Studios. It rated "very good" but not great with DH and DS and just a "good" with DD and myself. Must be a guy thing.

Kids made some really good pin trades.

I bought 2- 2day MYW passes for my kids with the plus option. They used one plus at Disney quest but we didn't get to use the other one at a water park because of the rain so it was a bit costly because I didn't get the "no experation" option. We did take them back to Disney Quest to use the other option but everybody had the same idea and the line was about 100 kids long.

Any questions ask away.

Hi: Glad you had a safe trip. That is too bad it had to rain so much during your time at the world. That happened to us one september. I can remember goint to discovery island in the rain. How were the parks, busy?

I know another family that were camping at ft wilderness, I wonder how they made out.

Deb.

We just got back as well (Friday morning). Yes, the rain was fun!!!! Oh well, all in all still a great trip - however, I also went last year (Jan 2004) and would NEVER go again during March Break. Honestly, it wasn't as busy as I initially thought it would be but still WAY busier than the last week of January!

With the rain they've been having I would have thought everything was a "water view" :rotfl:

Cheers,

Hi: I was wanting to go this april but it isn't working out for me so I thought about march break 2006 and was waiting for people to get back and report on crowds. I would like moderate busy to slow, but I don't think I can take huge the holiday crowds anymore. Thanks for reporting back.

Deb.

Welcome home!

Sorry to hear about all the rain but glad you made the best of it and had fun anyway. :flower:

Myst

Welcome back hockeymom and family! Too bad about the rain :sad2: I'm surprised about the cost of the gas. Were the gas prices that bad? Did you do a lot of driving when you were there? Which way did you go?

Let's plan a meet soon!!! Maybe something just after Easter.

Cottontail- funny you should mention campers because my DD said' look at the bright side mom- at least we aren't camping". It really would have been cold and damp for them. I think I was expecting alot more people than our traditional April trips, or maybe the rain was keping them out but I didn't find it to be as crowded as the horror stories I have heard.

Grumbo- good one.

Mysteria- Thanks for the welcome home and at least it was better than the freezing temps here.

Kelly- glad to hear you had a good trip also. We didn't get to do many things but now we just have to go back.

Canadave- I thought our total seemed a little high also. We were paying from $1.19- $1.28 and we took I-75. We do drive ourselves to every park though and did Universal and Belz outlet malls. A meet sounds good to me.

Sounds like you still had a good time even with the rain.Welcome home!

Welcome home Sherry!

Thanks for the pics you dropped off while I was away. So when do your AP's expire....you and DS want to come in Oct?

Glad your trip was fun again.

DIS meet soon...there are a few new diser's in Peterpatch now.

Thanks Kellyla- you might have to get a new tag until hockey starts up again.

Wendy- my AP expires next month. Three trips out of it though, not to bad. I would love to go back in October but we are doing a Dec. trip this year. I so have the itch to buy into WLV- I just love it there. We went for brekky one morning and I didn't want to leave. We should start planning a dis meet early so everyone has lots of time to be available.

Welcome Back!

Sorry the weather didn't cooperate, but hey better there than here!LOL

So any good deals at Belz?

So you have the DVC bug! PM me if you want any insite into the Resale Market.

Welcome back, Sherry! :) :)

Yep, the rain kind of put a damper on things didn't it? I was there for a few days last week too, and I still feel soggy. :umbrella:

Hi,

Just wondering how the crowds were? Average wait in lines?

Thanks!

Welcome back Sherry. I'm glad that you had a good time even with the rain. As far as March Break crowds, we have always found it relatively busy, but manageable, using FP, early entry and e-nights to help.

I was really lamenting that we didn't down this March Break but now that I've heard about the weather, I think I'm glad that we didn't go.

Scratch- I was a little disappointed with the outlets stores this trip. Got a few things but no great deals. I would love to get back to that celebration school sale I went to last year. Those were some great deals. I really have the DVC bug but would like WLV so I am looking at both options.

Snowwark- welcome back yourself. I know it was better weather than being here but it just didn't feel like Disney with so many grey days.

Dangler- Our average wait was about 20-25 minutes. Not that bad for March break but I also think the rain was keeping some away. We also utilized fast pass as much as possible

TimNDansmom- It was a good March break to skip. We made the mistake of planning MK on the extra night hours so we got there late morning. We only did half of what we wanted when the rain hit and it didn't quit. Lesson learned.

Hi -
WB & thanks for the post. We're heading down in a couple of weeks (Apr 6th) and I was wondering about DQ. How do those line-ups work? Is the "100 kids long" line just to get in or is that to wait to get a certain game? I haven't seen DQ yet but I was picturing something like a Playdium.
Thanks.

me2Me- that was the problem with DQ. The line up was outside waiting to get in but who knew how long the kids inside were staying. The wait could have been 5 mins. to hours.

Polynesianfan- Check out the "whos from Peterborough" thread- there is mention of setting up a BBQ meet or something similar.

Welcome back. So sorry to hear about the rain.

Hope that the Peterborough DIS meet will be set up for some time this summer. I would love to find out everything you know about DVC point renting. We are hoping to do this for 12/2006. I have fallen in love with OKW, BWV and BCV. Sorry, not with you fav WVL (it looks too much like my back yard and I don't see any palm trees in the WVL pictures, they are a MUST for me) :rotfl:
