Just got back from Disney and Universal last week. First of all, the lines were not bad at all. I think the longest we waited in line was about 15-20 minutes. I was expecting alot worse on July 4th. It was very HOOOOT!!!. At one point it was almost unbearable. I gladly paid 2.50 for water. The only complaint I have is, I think Disney is getting a little runned down. The first day we were there most of the rides had some type of breakdown. We got stuck on several rides. The worst though was at MGM when we done The Great Movie Ride. We were stuck at Casablanca for like 15 minutes. Workers came out and had to work on our car. Then we got stuck on the last FALL on The Tower of Terror. They even offered for us to ride it again. We were stuck on it for about 10 minutes and the workers had came out to work on our cart. Those were the two worst ones. Anyway, I don't regret going but I do think as much as we pay to go to Disney, they could afford to put some of the money back into it and get the parks looking a little better. On an upbeat note though, at the Spectromagic parade, one of the seven dwarfs came up and hugged my 6 year old daughter. That tickled her to death. Anyway, all in all we had a good time. It was better than sitting at home.

Hi bravesfan92 - sorry you had so many issues with the rides breaking down. Glad to hear that you still had a good time in spite of it. Heading out in 5 days myself!! Where did you stay?:moped:

Glad to hear that the 4th wasn't too bad for you ........ from what I have read, there are many others didn't get so lucky !!

Wow, mustv'e been scary on the breakdown on TOT !! I wouldn't have liked that one bit !!

Thanks for the report ! :earsboy:

I noticed alot of rides breaking down also. There were alot of problems with Blizzard Beach. We also were stuck on Test Track twice (at least it wasn't in the hot area!). We were briefly stuck in the Haunted Mansion as well. My DS4 was not thrilled with this. He was quite scared. He likes the HM but he likes to get through it fast.

I was surprised to hear that so many rides were breaking down. I hope that safety doesn't become an issue.
I have another thought. Last year when we were on some rides, they would stop for a period of time and the CM told us that it was necessary to load and unload wheelchair customers.

I can't imagine getting stuck on the TOT!!! I rode it once and couldn't get off quick enough. I think I would need therapy if that had happened to me

I'd really love to know how you get stuck on a fall on ToT? What happens? Were you stuck mid-fall or ? I don't think I'd enjoy being stuck somewhere mid-fall on that.

We were there June 18-25 and my family got stuck on Rocken Roller coaster...had to turn on the lights and get everyone out of the cars and walk through....they said you couldn't believe what is looked like inside with the lights on.....they each got 2 free passes for any time through the week.....they love RRC.......thanks goodness they were not on a lope....amy:crazy:

We just got back as well--we broke down on Dinosaur. Not major, but a little scary when it is so dark and you aren't sure what is going on!

We noticed how bad and old Spaceship Earth seems now. I laughed out loud toward the end...there is an overhead light sign that used to say AT&T something about bringing the future of communications...and they put up a piece of card board over the AT&T part!! It was bad!

Cooldisneymom- We stayed at the ASM. It was really nice. I was not expecting it to be that good but the only thing we done in the room was went to sleep, so the size of the room was not a problem for us. I will say though don't let Disney tell you the buses run every 15 minutes, because they don't. I personally think they should run a lot more buses. It was not just the buses though, we ate at Chef Mickey's which is in one of the deluxe hotels and you should have seen the wait for a monorail in there. You would have thought it was Splash Mountain. I bet we waited nearly 30 minutes or longer to load on a monorail. So the value in my opinion is just as good as the deluxe.

As far as the rides breaking down, there was some of them that stopped briefly for wheelchair entry. This was not a big deal, it was the ones where the engineers actually come to the vehicle to work on them while you are still in them.

On the ToT we did not break down in the middle of a fall. We broke down after we done the falling. They had to push our vehicle back with their HANDS. It would not move back automatically. When the guy working on it walked up, he said at least you are not at the top like those others, they are still waiting to fall. I thought OH MY GOD!!!! And then he offered us another ride, YEA RIGHT!!

we had a real bas scare on TOT on weds nite. we finished the ride and u know how u usually move back the cart turns and doors open, well we only moved a tiny bit back and sat there. the exit music went off but we never turned. then the lights all went out and we sat in darkness and u could hear the other elevators dropping above us. i was scared to death thinking i may land on us and i start screaming for a disney person. then right in front of us we see another cart drop and we move and could exit. it was during a bad storm and they were having probs. i didnt wanna ride it again i was too scared and still am the TOT now has put terror in me
