We got back yesterday. Stayed at Hard Rock Hotel for 3 nights and did both parks for 3 days. Had a great time with our friends. who had never been to Florida before.

Any Questions??

Tracie

what was your room like? we have ressis in sept for a garden view, we have a 4 yr old and thought it might be quite compaired to the pool view. Is the food at the resort good? any suggestions on what part of hotel to stay on? did they offer ya'll a upgrade, if so how much xtra was it? Thanks for info

did ya'll get a refilleable mug? If so can u use it the next time you go? we bought one last year(spongebob) and was wondering if we can use it this year too. I think we paid like 10.00 for it. thanks

We had a pool view rooms 2120 and 2122. We did not arrive until after 3PM from WDW so we did not ask about an upgrade and they did not offer we did get the adjoining rooms we requested. I didn't think the noise from the pool was a problem, although our friends said they could hear the music late into the night, I guess we slept through it. The room was very nice, great pillows! We were not high enough to get a good view of the pool, but we could see it through the trees. I think the area overlooking the grassy area by the boat dock would be very peaceful with a pretty view. We did buy a refillable mug the first day and used it all 3 days they did not ask for the receipt. We bought the $5 super heros one and our friends bought the $9.99 super heros and the sponge Bob one and refilled it all 3 days. there was plenty of drawer and closet space in the room and it was nice having a sink in the bathroom and one outside the bathroom, so the kids could brush their teeth when I was drying my hair. The kids got the Grade A Kids perks on their room key because they were out of the mugs, but they had no trouble getting free drinks at the hotel.

Be glad to help with any other questions.

Hi Tracie...

How was Shrek? and did yo enjoy Front of the Line access?

Did you eat anywhere good? like Margaritaville or Emerils?

How were the crowds.. did you see any shows?

Enquiring Minds want to know :)

>>^..^<<

We LOVED FOTL, it really impressed our friends, who had never been before. That was worth the price of the hotel without the entertainment rate, the hotel was great to by the way.

We loved Shrek, I could not stop laughing when we "rode" the horses. My kids thought it was the greatest show we saw at US or WDW.

We ate at Margaritaville twice, love that place and we ate at Hard Rock Cafe very good food ihad the Southwest nachos they were huge and very good. I wanted to try Emeril's, but got out voted by everyone else. I am going to eat there in Oct. when SIL and I go to WDW for the F&WF.

I didn't think the crowds were that bad at all, but with FOTL the crowds made no difference for us. I did feel a little guilty when we passed the same people 3 times at MIB, for our 3 rides in a row.

The sinbad show was stopped due to lightning the only time we made it over there to see it and the wild west show we tried to go see was during a downpour, so we didn't make that one either. We never made it to the graveyard review because we had to ride MIB and see shrek too many times. We had a great time at US/IOA I would never make a trip to WDW without a trip to US/IOA ever again.

Hi Tracie,.... great info thanx!

I can't wait to try Shrek and FOTL Rules!

Glad to hear Margaritaville is still great - I had the fajitas at Hard Rock and they were excellent too.

Are you planning your next trip already?

>>^..^<<

Yep, next trip is Oct. 23 for the food and wine fest at WDW with my DSIL, and we will be going to citywalk to try Emeril's also. I might talk her into 1 night a PBH, for a day at US/IOA.

I need to get a new countdown going!

You will love shrek!!!!!!

Grade A kids: Bring your kids report card, if they have at least 1 A, they will receive a refillable mug, they can fill at the pool side bar and at sunset grill, they were out of mugs when we were there but the boys had "grade A kid" on their room cards so they just showed them and were given a free drink, they also got free dessert at the sunset grill and they received a free in room movie, we were too busy to watch the movie. All the kids received a welcome gift at check in: A little bag with a blow up guitar, a hacky sack, and sunglasses.
Also if the kids do some of the pool side activities with the DJ they could get something my 10 yr old played air guitar and got to keep the big blow up guitar.

Tracie, thanks for the info. My son is a big Jimmy Neutron fan and I was wondering if the Jimmy Neutron ride is fun? Also, did you see very many characters?

Planogirl: (is that Plano, TX) Jimmy Neutron was really cute and fun. The part when you do the "Chicken Dance" was a scream! I think I ate too much for lunch at Margaritaville, because JN made me feel a little sick.
Your son should love it! You see the Rugrats, and Sponge Bob also.

We saw Scobby and Shaggy, Betty Boop, all the super heros without looking for any.

A tip we learned the hard way if you want to get your picture with Spiderman don't watch the mini parade when you here it coming go straight to the area marked 23 on the map. Spiderman and Green Goblin went into the place marked WW on the map, Storm, Wolverine, and Rogue went to the 23 on the map and Dr. Doom went to his ride. The lines form from all the people following the characters so if you are already there you should have a shorter wait. I was busy taking pictures, so we waited in a long line for SM.

My 10 yr old DS just looked over my sholder and said Jimmy Neutron and Shrek Rock!!

We just got back tonight... Jimmy Neutron was voted the favorite ride (from all parks) by my 5 year old twins. Absolutely loved FOTL pass, only way we could have ridden it 3 times, Shrek was great too. We stayed at Hard Rock, only 1 night, next trip will definitely plan more time there, the pool was great.
