We were in WDW from 8/6-8/14. This was our first time using FP+ and DAS (haven't been to WDW in 2 years). I just wanted to say that I think the new systems are fantastic.
Our first day we got to MK at rope drop and decided to wait and see if my daughter, Kendyll (12)would need to get the DAS, we didn't, between the low crowds early and FP+ it was great. After a few hours we headed back to our resort and returned to MK after dinner. (We found out a long time ago with her that park hoppers aren't good, she likes to go back to what she has seen all day). When we got back to MK we figured since there was no line at GR we would talk to the CM about a DAS..they were amazing and we all got linked up and we were out in 10 minutes. I have to say that they do ask more questions then they did with GAC and I think that is a good thing!
Thankfully we didn't have to use the DAS much during the trip, I'd say a few times in the parks at night.
So I just want to say that for anyone nervous, on the fence, worried etc. Disney is amazing with helping families enjoy their trip. It is so nice to be able to go to WDW and know that we have a plan in place, if needed, and this worked great for my family.
Honestly between early mornings, FP+ and DAS this might have been our best trip yet...and other than not going last year, we are DVC and have been going yearly for 13 years. Sorry this got a bit long winded, but it is just so nice to see my daughter enjoying herself, and enjoying herself with our other children. <3
