got back wdw and let me start by saying we did have a good time,this is the piont were i start with the bad news
1st having been six times now but the first through orlando international
i am never going to fly into this airport again unless thay are giving the flights away thay couldlnt organise a pub crawl in a brewery and i have been through a lot of airports in my time this has to be the worst
2nd havingen an become an express member for dollar the que was small by the time we got there in fact i was the only one in the express que. gave them my card and did the small amout of paper work and then i had to then wait an hour for my car whent back up to the desk several times to ask how long it would be only to be told i wont be long. or were just sorting it out as a result when we got to the car park to pick up the car ares was the only one left so i guess we must have the last people out of there.also you could clearly see that the reason we were kept waiting was that it had just been cleaned, so dollar are not top of my list to hire a car with again. i will also be sending them an email with my complaints
3rd but not least problem whilst half way through are holiday(it was actualy my sons birthday.so it was are longest day out. we where burgled.came back about 10pm and they had taken loads. police called and came within 20mins.he was brillant couldnt ask for better very helpfull and seemed geniunely concered for for use.the bad news is that he also told me that this type of crime was on the increase.(this is the main reason why iam writing this because anybody going to stay in avilla make sure you lock away as much as possiable away in the safe as you can .But the villa management was a differnt matter they were called straight after the police had ring them back a hour and a half later. only to be told that they were sorry they had not rung back but had only just got the meesage.(moving villas at 1am is not fun tell you)they also stole my wife medication so had spend the 2ansd half hours in walk in clinic to to get them replaced . then when in the new villa i asked for the pool to be heated again so lost 3 evenings in the pool waiting for it to heat up.only to disscover when the pool cleaner came round while we where in to be told that it should only take 24 hours to heat up but the villa manager had set it at the lowest setting to heat it up the pool cleaner then turned it up to full and low and behold by the following morning it was at temperature. rung the manager and got our money back for the 3 days that we were waiting for it to heat up and at $35a day it wasnt cheap
also speaking to our travel agent about this.
then the cable tv signel was cut off 3 days before the end of the holiday rung the managment team agian several time they never got it sorted
only to be told when we droped the keys off that the cable company dosent work over the weekend so they couldnt get it sorted (i dont belive that for a second)we like to plan our days by the weather forcast at this time of year channel 9 is best. but as we were on are way home didnt have the time to argue the toss with them. but as for the rest evrything was brilliant disney nd universal.so dont let this put you off but use this post as a word to the wise. we will be going back next year a little bit wiser.
 
OMG thats dreadful, where abouts was your villa? management company on your 2nd villa sound like right rip off merchants. hope you get compensation for the loss of your things, your time and distress
we have had to wait 1/2 hour once for our car even though we were with dollar express as it had just come in and needed cleaning.
 
I am so sorry to hear all that. Not at all what you want.

The management company sounds like a joke! We are staying in a villa for the first time this December so will heed the warning of locking things away.

I hope you can focus on the good times more than the bad :goodvibes
 
Glad you had a good time apart form the problems. Yes I believe Villa break ins are on the increase but who knows the true facts? would be great to know, I personally know 2 families in the past 4 months had theirs broken into, plus the ones I read about on various forums so all precausions need to be taken, although not sure about using safes as people post pics of them being smashed open.

Dollar for us I can't fault, again used them at Xmas, using Express got free upgrade from full size to 7 seater Dodge Caravan with del milage only, loved driving it. Agent was a little slower than in past and I had to help him thru the voucher and what was included but apart from that 10 mins max from arriving at the desk we were on our way.

Been thru MCO about 18 times now, Sanford once, we love MCO and Sanford would be a very last resort as we totally disliked it.
 

How awful for you all to experience a burgulary on your holiday. We have also used Dollar in the past and have had no issues nor with MCO but who is to say we may not in the future.

Glad to hear though that you all had a wonderful time even with the problems that you experienced.
 
It was terrible to read about all the problems you have faced on your holiday.
We have always flown into MCO and have only ever found the staff to be friendly and heldful. We have also used Dollar each time and the last time we went, from arriving at the express desk to driving away was less than 15 minutes.
We have also used villas everytime and have becoming increasingly aware of the break-ins so will be taking all the necessary precautions and hope that it will be enough.
Can I ask - did they have to break something to get in or did they know the combination and alarm code??
Again - sorry you had to endure so much on your holiday, but pleased to hear it hasn't put you off going again.

Sorry to hear about your problems, though have to say we too have never had a problem with MCO or Dollar.
 
Sorry to hear you experienced some terrible incidents,Hopefully you had a great time regardless,I guess with burglaries now they are on the increase everywhere,not just on holiday sadly.:sad2:
 
I'm so sorry to hear all this. How unlucky can one family get, not just one problem but several!

I hope you get compensated for your inconvenience and stress.

I'm glad you all still had a good time though, and have a magical experience with no glitches next year.
