Hi - Just back from 13 days in Disney World. We bought new AP's and went into the parks each and every day.

We got rehitched at the Garden Grill and the kids made cookies at the Land Jr Chef program.

We ate at Whispering Canyon - (outstanding) and Ohanas.

It was our DS's 9th birthday - went to Chef Mickeys and Donald's Breakfast.

Kids got their hair cut in Magic Kingdom barber shop.

We rode in the front of the monorail 5 times.

We did both water parks (first time for us - great fun)

We traded tons of pins I bought dirt cheap at the Disney store.

We had so much fun!!!

Any questions.

Can't wait to head back in December (20.03 rate at Courtyard - yippee)

Welcome back...

I don't have any questions, but I noticed that my hubby and I were there when you were and that we are returning the same time as you. I'm so glad I only have to wait 3 more months before going back!! In December we're taking the kids :)

I have a question: I have two children (6 year old girl and 3 year old boy) and was wondering if you had to make an appointment to have your dhildren's haircut in MK or if you just walked in. Is it expensive? Do you recommend it for others with young children?

We are going to WDW in February 2004 and it's our first time and I'm trying to make it so special for my children.:D

Thanks in advance!

Hi Lagirl,
The kids haircuts were very reasonable ($12 or $15). You cannot make appointments. I recommend going there first thing when the park opens. We did and had to wait for only 3 people.

I have seen adults getting there hair cut as well as teenagers.

They do a wonderful job. The kids got color and pixie dust in their hair. My DS9 even got a mickey head on the back of his head.

I highly recommend it. This was our second time and we plan to have them cut there again in December.

We got rehitched at the Garden Grill and the kids made cookies at the Land Jr Chef program.
We (should say ME, DH knows nothing about it) are also planning on the rehitching ceremony at GG. We have never been to the restaurant. Can you tell a little about it? And what is the land Jr. Chef's program?
Also:
We did both water parks (first time for us - great fun)
We are trying to choose between the two. How old are your kids? Mine are 5 1/2 and 7 1/2. Which park did you and the kids enjoy most, and why?
A lot of ??, I know! TIA!;)

Hi MrsMud

The Rehitching ceremony was cute. They stood us up and annouced to the restaurant that we had gotten married 13 years ago and they weren't invited. They had us kiss while everyone counted to 100 by 10's. They took our picture, gave us a cake and a certificate.

The Nestle's Junior Chef program is downstairs opposite the boat ride. There is a sign which states the times it is held (I think each hour starting at 12:30) Get there at least 15 minutes before it starts and sit around the fence. The chefs will come out and give each child sitting around the fence a chef hat. If you are not there when they are handing out the hats, you will not get in.
The kids enjoyed it. They made chocolate chip cookies. Each child got to put in an ingredient and put one cookie on the tray. The cookies are 'magically' cooked very quickly. Each child receives 2 cookies, a little container of chocolate chips and the chef hat. This program is free.

If we could only go to one water park, we would choose Blizzard Beach. The slides are longer (family raft ride is the best) and the kids enjoyed the kids area with the "ice bergs" and "t-bar".

Just wanted to say welcome back, sounds like you guys had a wonderful time!!!!! Neat!!!!

I would love to surprise my DH with this next December. We will be at WDW 3 weeks after our 5th anniversary. Do you make arrangements when you get your P.S.?

Songbert:
I have read a few posts re: this (when search was working), and everyone seems to recommend asking for this when you make your PS. I did that when I called yesterday, and the CM on the phone didn't seem to know anything about it, at first she said "um... i think you have to tell them that when you get there...", but then she must have asked someone else. She came back on and asked me to wait while she added that on to my PS. It is also rec. to "remind them" when you get to the restaurant. I will have to try to figure out how to do this w/out everyone else in my party knowing. I am also surprising (and probably mortifying) my DH for our 10 year anniv.

I was wondering about the mickey on the back of the head too!

I'm sure I know the answer, but as you can see, we're leaving VERY SOON and I just want to be even more excited.

So, between you telling me that it was so empty you could walk onto just about any ride all day long (I hope), and me having a chance to see my clock with less than 24 hours, I probably won't be able to sleep tonight!

"How were the crowds?"

Thanks!:p

Noticed your clock ticking down so thought I'd jump in to help out. We just returned last night (BCV for 6 days) and had a wonderful time!!! In answer to your question--we thought the crowds were extremely light. We hit Epcot, MGM and did MK 3 times (M,W,Th) with our 2,3, and 4 year olds, and I think the longest we waited was 10 min. for Pooh. Everything else was pretty much just a few minutes. No line at all for Splash Mtn!!! Keep in mind however, that was about the only "grown-up" ride we went on.
Hope this helps get ya a little more pumped!!
Enjoy!!

THANKS! Just what I was wanting to hear!

P.S. I was wrong. I slept fine--DH was the one who couldn't sleep. LOL!

Glad you had a great trip! We leave this Fri.!!! I was wondering...what ages of children are allowed in the iceberg play area at BB? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi Gibmom,
I am not sure what the age restrictions are for the iceberg section. My kids were 7 and 9 and they fit right in.

I made PS for lunch at Garden Grill in December for our anniversary. I am hoping to surprise my DH, and I want to get rehitched. I asked the CM who took my PS if I needed to request a rehitching, and he said "uhhh, no" in a real snotty sarcastic tone. I guess I will call again. How rude!
