Just got back from eight days and seven nights at WL concierge. Had a wonderful time. Upgraded from woods view to concierge at check in. I will be glad to answer any questions!

WOW, what made you upgrade from woods to concierge? Is that on the 6th floor? I stayed on the 4th floor, courtyard view last year, but am planning to go back next year. I would love to know about the concierge. What are the rooms like and what exactly did it include?:)

hey we are booked there for next xmas ( actually my gram booked the rooms for the whole family ) so how did you get the upgrade? on your own or did they do it for you?
How was the overall feel and transportation? How was the concerige? Do you think it would be worht the xtra $$ ? My gram booked the rooms and they are able to use that. Did you have kids with you? and if you did how was the babysitting club/service ( if yo used it )? Did you go to Whispering Canyon ? How was it? Yeah so basically anything ou can tell me would be worht it
thanks :bounce:

Alice - We were at the WL last Nov. Didn't stay in concierge, but we did eat at the Whispering Canyon! The food was great and it was alot of fun. More expensive than the Roaring Forks, which is where we went most of the time. Love the lodge!!!! Can't wait to get back.

Alicnwondrln - I asked about the availability and cost of the upgrade at check in. The CM was more than accomodating! We did have our 5 yo ds with us. The concierge level was wonderful! The special attention from the staff, the food offerings made it worth the additional money. We were able to eat breakfast daily at the hotel. We were also able to get drinks and snacks throughout the day.
We did not use the child care at WL. We attempted to look at the facility one afternoon and was not impressed with the friendliness of the staff member.
We did eat at Whispering Canyon one night. It was good, but crowded. We had to wait about twenty minutes laters than our PS.
The feel of WL is incredible! My family and I stayed at WL last year, and it has become our favorite! We only used the boat service to MK, FW, and CR. We rented a car and used that to travel everywhere else. After the stay at WL concierge, we were spoiled and will want to stay no where else!

Mermaid 3- The decision was made by DW and I as a special treat to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. As mentioned, we stayed at WL last year (courtyard view) and LOVED it! The concierge level is on the 7th floor. The rooms are the same size as all of the others in the lodge. There are fluffy robes in the closets! The concierge has special key access in the elevators. There is a concierge staff from 7a.m. until 10:00 p.m. to assist guests. There are various food offerings (breakfast - cereal, bagels afternoon - gummies, nuts, crackers, evening - hot entree, cheese, crackers, wine, etc.) It was worth every penny! We were very spoiled!

Wow that sounds great !
thank you so much for your quick response!
it sounds like you had a great time and I am sooo looking forward to staying there and I always here the best things!:Pinkbounc
thanks for the info about the kids club my son will be 5 and i wanted to know what you thought
thanks again

You said it! After staying at the Lodge last year, we are spoiled and would not even think of staying anywhere else. The cast members and the atmosphere can't be beat! We loved everything from the minute we checked in and we were really sad to leave when the vacation was over. We can't wait to get back!

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! We can't wait for our return trip to the WL this Oct. Could you tell me how much you paid for the upgrade? We have woods view booked and are interested in inquiring about concierge at check in as well.

Wiscmomof2:

When we checked in 7/21, the CM offered us Concierge level for an additional $60. My DH said no because he didn't know if I would want to do that (I've trained him too well). However, as we were pulling away from the desk, she said she upgraded us from woods view to courtyard. I wasn't too impressed with having a pool view so it wasn't much of an upgrade for me.
