Before going I did a lot of reading on making an autograph book for my DD6. I had bought one but it looked pretty boring.

I'm so glad I made the book! My DD got so many compliements from the characters and CMs. She was glowing. I need to complete it now with the pictures then I'll try and post pictures.

I had a 8X8 and would paperclip the pages outside the sleeves so the characters could sign. Once they signed I put the page back in the sleeve. For characters I did not have pages I had tied a bunch of tags and had them sign a tag.

We took several princess pens and then a giant Mickey pen I bought at the dollar store. She got several hugs and thumbs up from the characters with gloves! She wanted to give Tigger and then Donald the pen when she was done because they loved the pen so much.

Thank you to all those on the board that share their tips and pictures. This is my first experience scrapbooking and it was a success! One of the CMs at CRT told me I could make a fortune on Main Street with the book.

I can't wait to see the photos!!

Good Job - Glad your DD liked it so much!

So glad to hear this. I have invested so much time and money into autograph books for DD6 and DS4 for our December trip. I have been concerned that the logistics of lugging them around and getting the pages ready for the characters to sign would be too much. I am relieved to hear that my efforts are worth it. I have tried to post photos but I haven't had any success yet.

Would you be willing to share step by steps? I'd LOVE to make one for my son, but not sure how to go about doing it!

If you would please explain how you made your book, I would REALLY appreciate it!

THANK YOU! :)

Not sure to whom you addressed your question, but I am willing to share!

I bought the Sarabinders and using the page that comes inside as a template, I started cutting pages. It worked out to 5 3/4 inches square. I then put borders on the tops or edges and then decorated as close as I could to the corners with stickers and or die cuts. And since the books are binders, I can take out the pages if need be.

I made sure to leave enough space on each page for big signatures. I made pairs of pages so that the characters could chose whichever side worked better.

Did that make sense?

Good to hear that the character interaction is good with these homemade autograph albums. Hope my DD gets a similar response. I bought my DD one of those generic Disney autograph albums from ebay before I read about all these homemade ones but I've decided to personalize it by printing out little pictures of the characters and gluing them to the corner of the pages. It's taken a while to find pictures of the characters but I think I've gotten pics of most of the characters we might see. For now, I've only put the pics of the characters we're more likely to see in the album but I'm going to have a little bag with the other pics in it and we'll add the pics to the pages as needed.

HLDisney (21 days and counting until our WDW trip!!!) :yay: :yay:

We are leaving in 14 days and I am still not satisfied that we have enough pages! I really need to stop. My problem is that I want to make some decorated but non-specific character pages and that is stumping me!

I also decided to get some 6x6 plastic sleeves because I am afraid of damage. Of course the holes do not match up and I am having to punch new holes in every single one....
