Great trip, we had tons of fun, but what is the deal with the double bugs, with that many rooms at WDW you'd think they would found one.

Any way if anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer them.

Here is where we ate:

1) CRT Breakfast
2) Cosmic Rays
3) H & V Playhouse Disney Breakfast
4) 50's Prime time
5) Flame Tree BBQ
6) Tusker House
7) MBYBBQ
8) Pecos Bill
9) 1900 Park Fare
10) Plaza Rest.
11) Ohana
12) HDDR
13) Donald;s Breakfast
14) Akersus
15) Electris Umbrella
16) Le Cellier

We also did Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and MNSSHP.

Let me know

They are love bugs and seasonal. If you drive a car your windshield ends up black with them. It is just a fla. tradition.

I remember love bugs in FL when I was a kid. We used to always visit my grandparents in Naples over spring break. We'd go to the beach & you could see HUGE swarms approaching. Everyone ran into the water to try to escape from them. They were terrible! They'd be all over the interior of the cars, too, even tho they were shut tightly. GROSS! One year we had just bought ice cream from the ice cream man at the beach when a swarm came & ruined our treats! LOL!

I didn't realze they came out in the fall as well. I've seen a few others post about them here too. Were they as bad as I just described? Where were they ... just parks, resorts?

I would love to hear about the BBB and MNSSHP. We leave in 15 days and are doing both of these. What package did you get at the BBB?

Thanks,

Rachel

That fla tradition has spread to south Georgia!! Ha ha :rotfl: Looking out my window right now-----they are everywhere!!! No kidding!!!

For more info - check out the "Love Bugs" thread a few posts up, or down, as I am now posting. ;)

We had tons of fun at MBYBBQ, If you want a table close to the stage try to arrive early. I would say before 6. At the beginning is a free for all and the bigger kids take advantage of the character interaction. I would say sit down enjoy watching the show for the first 30 minutes, enjoy the meal and drinks. Then after the original crowd gets tired you will have plenty of character interaction available. We stayed until the very end and probably 80% of the crowd was gone. We had the characters pretty much to ourselves.

BBB, is Magical we got the Crown package for the girls. and the looked beautiful their fairygodmother(hairdressers) were wounderful and really made it a special ocassion for them.. They are not very good at keeping time, our appointment was for 5:15 and we went in at 6:00. But in Disney I just really dont get upset at anything. So we waited smilling and seeing the families coming out with their beautiful princesses.

Have fun

Ok someting I am not looking forward to. We live by the mississippi and have May flies.

Did you do the Princess storybook meal (breakfast or dinner) at Akershus?

We did, for breakfast. IMO, is about the same quality food as CRT, different variety. More princess interaction, no Cinderella, We saw Belle, Mulan, Aurora, Jazmin (very nice) and Snow White. CRT has a more magical feeling since you are in the Castle, but I would say Money/Satisfaction wise is a better deal.

Thanks for the review! :thumbsup2
We've done CRT so we thought we would try Akershus. We'll be doing 1900 Park Fare on Tuesday morning. Did you have breakfast there as well, or was it another meal? We're hoping to see Mary Poppins herself. :sunny:

Love bugs are throughout the lower Southeast.

Great list of restaurants. We don't get to try that many even with a full weeks stay as we always to go to our usual haunts more than once a stay.

We had breakfast there. Best breakfast in all WDW IMHO. Excellent Omelets. Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger were the only characters there. A lot of fun, Alice was great, the Mad Hatter very funny. We plan on returning here it is really really good and worth every penny.

That's great to hear! :thumbsup2 I'm particular about breakfast. It can so easily become very mediocre. Now I'm really looking forward to it!
Thanks again for your review, I appreciate it. :sunny:

are love bugs what we call thunder bugs in the UK? Does anyone know?

I remember plagues of little black bugs that we called thunder bugs in my child hood... they thrive in high humidity so the reason they get called thunder bugs is that the highest humidity would be just before a thunder storm

But they are DISNEY LOVE BUGS  - aren't they WONDERFUL! :lmao:

I can't wait to eat at Le Cellier this trip.

I loved Tusker House in AK. Was trying to decide if we would eat there again in Nov or try Flame Tree. I am not really into BBQ (especially not RIBS). What did you have there - did you like it?

(I'm into the whole FOOD thing!)

These little buggers?

(I zoomed so you could get a better look)

We found that they were most attracted to white/light colored surfaces. Everytime I saw a bug on someone it was a person wearing a white shirt or shorts or who had platinum blonde hair. Saw them all over many of the white benches found at bus stops. The worst we saw was at the bus stop at the Beach Club Resort. :crazy2:
