Just back from CSR and Portofino. Used Thrifty off-site. It went very well and got a free upgrade from economy to mid-size.
Any questions gladly answered.

Glad to hear Thrifty was good for you. We are using them in December. A couple of questions...how far is the shuttle pick up from the baggage claim? Did you have a long wait for the shuttle to pick you up? How about on your way back to the airport? We got a great rate with Thrifty so hope we have good luck too!

The Thrifty site is about a mile and a half I would guess. We did not have to wait at all for a shuttle, it was there waiting on the lower deck. We did join the Blue Chip program which was a blessing because it was crowded last week. We were second in the Blue Chip line. When we returned to the airport there was a sign leading you to Thrifty, which was a huge help because that was out first time driving in the area. The bus to return you to the airport was waiting for riders to board, I would say that took about 20 minutes in total, waiting and the drop off at Southwest.
All in all it was a good experience, I would use them again!

Thrifty is located right outside the airport's North Exit (the one by 528 and the hotels, as opposed to the South Exit by 417). It's right across the street from Hertz. We've never waited for their shuttle either; is is typically right there, waiting for passengers.
