We just returned from WDW today. We dined at Castle and LeCellier for dinners. My DD who just turned 15 and her best friend also 15 ordered from the children's menu and children's desserts at both restaurants and we did not experience a problem at all. Also, the charges were the usual children's menu charges....

At our trip in September...Castle frowned upon her ordering from the children's menu, but allowed it.

Just wanted to let everyone know. It appears that they have relaxed a bit over the past month.

Thank goodness! Sometimes older kids just want food prepared simply.

Thanks for letting us know.

::MickeyMo It's also a shame to waste money when a child's meal is more than enough food. Sometimes I wish I could still order from kids menus. LoL. I could probably get away with it sometimes. J/K. But maybe. ::MinnieMo

Glad to hear that. We want to be able to order childs lunch too. Could you tell me what you kids ate? How was it?

The girls had grilled chicken and chocalate Moose dessert from LeCellier. They said it was pretty good.

At Cinderella's castle, they had a veg/cheese appitizer which was great and then they had chicken fingers for dinner. Chicken fingers were just fine.

At Rainforest they ordered Kid's Pizza's, which was plenty for them.

At Alfredo's - I don't think they ordered from Kid's menu. They ordered a pizza and shared it. They did not even finish the pizza.

im almost 21..when iw ent, i ordered off the kids menu a few places and had no problem

There was never a problem in all the times we have been except for September. It was really frowned upon and we were told we would be charged double for the kid's entree. We never were, though. I did not care about being charged double, however, I just was concerned that DD would eat.

Problem of ordering from Kid's Menu seemed to have disappeared on October trip.

Also just wanted to let everyone know we just came back (September/October) and had a 78 year old with us who was allowed to order off the kid's menu everywhere we went. The Cast were very nice about it - we ate all over the park and at resorts and noone said anything about it!

I am VERY glad to hear that. My friends' 15 and 16 year olds are plain eaters and they ordered off the kids' menu at Le Cellier and were charged double. They were a bit surprised but paid it anyway because the young man that was the server was adamant that was their new policy. Grrr. I think it was just a greedy CM looking to up the bill therfor his tip. That was this past summer. I hope he has been chastised for doing it or that he is long gone by now. Thank you for the update.

I think it's totally random. My DD 14 orders off the kids menu most of the time. Sometimes we are charged double, sometimes not....go figure. :confused3
