We just got back from a long weekend trip (11/30-12/3) to the world.

Lodging
We stayed at POR for the second time. We love this resort. This time we stayed in Acadian House in MAgnolia Bend, last time we were in Alligator Bayou. We didn't get any towel animals, but the room was always clean and there were plenty of towels. The only thing we don't like about the on-property resorts are the paper products. These are the cheapest in the world. It's like using sandpaper. We checked in around 2:30pm and the whole process took less than 15 minutes.

Thursday
This was our arrival day and we went to the Christmas party this night. We got to the park a little early and rode a few rides and grabbed something to eat at Cosmic Ray's before MVMCP started. We had a great time as usual.

Friday
We went to Animal Kingdom today. We  LOVE  this park. We got to see the new Nemo show and I thought it was great, but DH and DD (4) thought it was a little long. We had almost no lines for anything here. The most we waited was less than 10 minutes in the afternoon for our 2nd time on Kali River Rapids. We did not try EE this trip as DD is too small. We had breakfast at the hotel foodcourt and went to MK for our ADR at CP for dinner. We were able to ride almost everything that we missed on Thursday.

Saturday
Today we went to MGM in the morning. We were the first ones to be let into the park this day. That was really neat. We had an 8am ADR at Hollywood and Vine for the Playhouse Disney breakfast. DD loved this one. We had almost no lines for anything this day either. We did have to wait for about 5 min for the movie to finish at Great Movie Ride and we got to Playhouse Disney Live a little early so we had to wait there. There was no wait for Star Tours so we walked right on. We were also given YOAMD lanyards and pins when we got on.
We went to Epcot for the afternoon and again had almost no lines. We did have quite a wait for Soarin', but we FP'd it and came back about 4 hours later to ride it. After Soarin' we went to the Grand Floridian for our 7:40 ADR at 1900 Park Faire. This was our best character dining experience ever. The characters were very attentive and active. DD had a great time. :cheer2:

Sunday
This day we just took our time and took the boat from the resort to DTD. We spent a couple of hours shopping. Then we took the boat back to POR and headed home.

We had a great trip and can't wait to go back! If you have any questions, just let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

Thanks for the trip report. AK is our favorite, too and I'm looking forward to the Nemo Show. Happy Holidays.

It sounds as though you planned everything very well, with minimal wasted time. I wish all of our trips could go that smoothly! Thanks for the TR! :goodvibes

I'm going to MVMCP for first time on 15th with my elderly parents - Dad's in a wheelchair - and I have planned LTT at 7:30. This is the only park time for this trip and our must dos are:

Twas the night before Christmas
Both Firework displays
Splash Mountain
Mickey's PHilharmonic

Do you remember what time the showings were for Twas? Will there be one after dinner? Any thoughts you or other veteran MVMCP goers have would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't remember the show time for 'Twas as we were able to catch the first showing at 7pm. I would suggest doing this as it is only 20 minutes long, although I'm not sure how much time it would take to get out of the handicapped seating section and over to LTT. There are several shows during the night and I'm sure you'll be able to catch one of them. My only suggestion is, whichever show works out best for you, make sure you get there early or you'll be standing in the back.

Thanks for the info ArielsMommy. I am so excited about this trip I want it to be perfect, especially for my mom and dad as this will be their first stay on-site. And, my son is a senior this year so it may be one of our final full family trips. Anyway, thanks a lot.

And, I'm glad you had such a nice time on your trip.

Thank you for the review. It's nice to hear that you like AK so much. We're really looking forward to it, but we've heard so many negative comments we were wondering whether it was going to be a bust.

Glad you had a good trip! :thumbsup2
