Well, since I'm an "ugly American", I don't have to care what you think but I recognize your right to think it - no matter how wrong or misinformed you may be. The fallacy in your reasoning is evident in this sentence: "I understand that there are things in life we do not like, but we cannot always do anything about it." There are many things that can be done but you have to have the desire to do them. Just throwing up your hands and saying that's the way it is doesn't lead to many solutions. The problem is that the majority of people like to complain but most won't take action - any kind of action - because that involves effort. With your way of thinking we'd probably still be an English colony. Thankfully, I have many other vacation options which I plan to utilize. Based on the number of discounts and freebies that WDW has been offering others must be investigating other vacation options as well. I'm hoping US & IOA have a banner year and WDW posts a huge loss. That's the only thing that will get WDW's attention - speaking with our wallets!
There are things in life that one doesn't like but they cannot change it.. or are you blind to that fact? I hate the WAR, can I stop it, NO, can I write to the President and tell him, sure I can, but nothing will be done about it..
Do you like when it storms on you at Disney? Can you do anything to stop it, NOPE.. you deal with it.

There is a difference in dealing with things, instead of trying to eliminate those you have no control over. It doesn't make me a person that can be walked on. I don't allow people to walk on me, on the same token, I don't lower my standards by acting worse than them either. If Disney isn't going to stop a line jumper, I am not going to physically do it either. I may stand firm and make a wall as another PP said, and smile nicely at them as another pp has said, but I would never elbow, push or extract anyone.. no matter what the age. There is a difference in having couth and being a bully, not to mention one is legal and one isn't.

and off topic, why do you keep coming back with posts when you said you were leaving.. you hugged everyone goodbye.. you mean I waved good bye to you for nothing...;)

Is that a picture of you trying to find a clue?

Nope.. that is you digging yourself deeper & deeper by stating you weren't going to "hit", yet you continued to use terms referring to that such as push, move, extract... come on you are intelligent, I thought you would have gotten that one... :lmao:

I will mention one awesome group (actually set of groups) we saw a year ago. The adults in charge were AWESOME! They made those kids walk in a single-file line and one adult in front and the other in back. They watched them like a hawk and I think it was about 20 kids in the group. They listened, did not block roads, cut in line, were pleasant, didn't chant, etc . . . The other tour groups need to follow this approach. I think they divided each into sets of 15-20 and monitored them closely. Super work for them -- too bad the others don't follow the same approach.

And that is how any group should be handled.

:thumbsup2 I can't count how many times my BIL has gone to Afghanistan or Iraq in the past 4 years leaving his wife and 2 sons with autism. I realize it's his job and he should do it, but the family left behind taking care of his family should be able to enjoy their time together even if it is at a theme park.

You get him the drink--I'm buying him a steak at Narcoossee's

:lmao: I think you misread that: HE offered to buy me the drink I'm not buying him anything :goodvibes but I would join you both and your families/

Thank your BIL for us the USMC family

What if they grab your 8yo by the arm and try to move them to another seat. That is wrong and you do have to stand up to the tour group then. I have only experienced these tour groups try to do this. You can't bully back, but you do have to stand up -- what they did was wrong and they have to be told in some way.

If they touched my child to pull them out of the seat, I would go to the closest CM and have them take care of it. If nothing is done about it, I would leave & go to guest services explaining what just happened.. along with where I was at, what color clothing the tour group was wearing and the CM's name who was there. I would then ask for a refund as another PP stated.. I am not going to touch the teen back.. that isn't going to solve anything but it will get me in trouble. Why should I ruin my entire trip due to them.. I don't want to get "thrown out" or escorted out by security because I hauled off and hit a kid.. I would rather leave on my own terms.. letting Disney know by asking for my refund.

It was a group hug not a hug goodbye. Your peace and love was flowing so strong that I couldn't help myself. Also, if you think something can't be done then it won't be done. That's really just a cop out many people use to feel better about doing NOTHING (well, it's not going to matter what I do so I'll just do nothing). As for the weather, meteors or the rotation of the Earth - you got me there - but since you have to resort to idiotic extremes I'm pretty sure you understand my point even if you won't admit it. Lastly, off topic, I'm guessing since you HATE the war (go figure) the next words out of your mouth will be "but I support our troops!" That's always a classic. :sad2:

isn't it possible that a lot of these kids are just overly excited about being on an adventure in another country and just want to have a good time?

we have been in the parks with some of these groups, and for the most part, i got a kick out of sharing in their enthusiasm. they have a right to be in the parks just as much as we do.

some of the comments on this thread sound very............snobby.

I can't quote everyone here that is saying basically the same thing I am saying but I am T I R E D of being the stupid American who can send MY children into battlefields all over the world and then be afraid to stand up for my rights, my pursuit of happiness, my right to have personal space anywhere in MY country. Some of our leaders may be apologizing all over the world and bending over to be PC but I am sooooooooooo tired of it and I will not do it.

Hmm...what's left for me to buy? Pretty soon they will have a free trip! :thumbsup2

And when they refuse to give you a refund will you just leave the park on your own and not return? I mean you have to keep your dignity in tact right?

Their rights end where mine begin. What if they liked to yell "Fire!" to have fun? Would that be OK too?
