We are just back from a two week stay at Terra Verde Resort off of N. Poinciana Blvd in Kissimmee.
The unit we rented from the owner was a four bedroom townhouse with private pool. It was very plainly decorated, very neat and clean and well stocked with all the necessities, including tons of bath towels, sheets and pool towels. It also had a lot of baby items although we didn't need them.
My twins shared a nice 2 twin room which was decorated along the theme of Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar. My daughter had a nice queen bedroom. They all shared a bath. My husband and I had a nice king bedroom with its own bathroom with shower. Downstairs there was another queen bedroom, a full bathroom, a living room/dining room/kitchen. The Pool area was fenced with a safety alarm to the area from the house. The pool was small but well enjoyed by all my kids.
The property managers were responsive to some small issues and very nice. THe owners were a dream to deal with.
The resort was itself was gated, and the men that manned the gate were very pleasant to deal with. The clubhouse was pretty, with a gym that my husband used frequently. The pool at the clubhouse was nice (I didn't go in myself but the kids liked it).
Overall we were totally pleased. The location was nice because it was far enough off of 192 to feel secluded but close enough to get to things quickly.
Let me know if you have any questions. I know when I was researching that I didn't find a lot about Terra Verde but I was very happy with my choice and wanted to pass it along.
Price wise it was considerably cheaper than any comparables I saw at Windsor Hills etc. We paid around $1800 for two weeks, including pool heat and a $400 refundable deposit.
Thanks
Tracy
