Just back: Swan A-

Just got back from 3 nights at the Swan and 3 nights at the Poly. It was very nice, but not as nice as the Poly.

Swan staff was wonderful.

The room was clean (but Poly was cleaner.)

Room was roomy (but Poly room was bigger).

Sheets were silkier at the Swan (but came untucked because of the pillowtop mattress).

Overall the Swan was very nice and I'd stay there again.

My DS, 5, and I are going in late March and I put us at the Swan. I didn't go thru any packages but did get a AAA rate. I'm so glad your thoughts on it were positive. Thanks!

I just got back from the Swan a couple of weeks ago (it was nice to meet you, Jeancbpugh! ) and I can't compare it to the Poly since I've never stayed there, but I loved the Swan. In fact, I reserved a room at the Swan for May just a couple of days after I got home!

Ive always been a die hard fan of the Poly. However Ive stayed at the Swan twice now(the last time a month ago...had a wonderful stay) and between the beds and the location, the Poly has some competition, LOL! Plus on our stay at the Poly last summer we had a few disappointments/problems.

DH & I are going to the World for our 10th anniversary and while it would be nice to stay at the Poly like we did on our honeymoon, we decided the Swan would be better for us...and I never thought Id say that.

We'll also be spending our 10th anniversary there in December. We honeymooned at the Wilderness Lodge, but we're hoping to get a Nurse discount at the Dolphin.

My heart will always belong to the Poly, but lately my pocketbook is belonging to the swan. With the ds private school and college around the corner every penny counts and since we dont spend alot of time in the room, I love saving lots of money. The grotto pool, beach volleyball, basketball courts etc. is a great draw for my ds, but they still miss the volcano pool. I am glad you had a great time. We will probably end of staying there this april since the poly is already sold out for 2 of our days. I just dont feel like splitting it and moving.
