This was our first visit to either of these resorts and we enjoyed them both very much.

BC: Booked a Garden View Room and had a view of an overgrown area which did back up to Epcot. We could see Illuminations through the trees (and hear it too!) As everyone agrees, the location is so convenient. We should have gotten to dock sooner to catch the boat to DHS for final Star Wars day. Our fault. I can only nag my family so much til they turn on me!:)

Found the Marketplace very convenient for mug refills. We didn't buy any meals here. Loved the ambiance of the resort. And of course SAB. The resort was at capacity, and we were still able find little corners of the pool to play without anyone around. Had some terrible luck with buses to MK and AK. Waited 40 min for an MK bus and were late to Ohana ressie.

All in all, we felt it was a "hustley-bustley" resort if you know what I mean. Very active. Tons of people always around.

WLV: After 4 nights at BC, we moved over to WLV. I was able to rent point from my neighbor. We have visited WL before and eaten at WCC, but as mentioned this was our first stay. I have a new favorite resort! We fell in love with WL and WLV! Just felt like we were away from it all! The boat to MK was great. Again, bad luck with buses, but that can happen anywhere. Loved being away from it all. I did laundry one afternoon and just sat alone and read in the lobby. Magical! Having a deluxe studio is nice too. Liked the extra sink and microwave. Fridge seemed big too. Room was in great shape and the pull out bed was just fine. Safe was hard to access! Had to climb in the closet around the baby crib. :confused3

I really think it's going to be hard to stay anywhere else! (Although CR beckons!) I think I'll rank the resorts we've stayed at, if you care:

1) WLV
2) AKL
3) BC
4) Poly
5) OKW
6) FQ
7) SSR
8) CBR
9) ASMo
10) Pop

Happy to answer any questions!

Welcome home! Glad you had a good stay at both. We love both resorts. I love being in Epcot area and walking to Epcot and either walk or boat to DHS.

BC & YC are beautiful resorts. I think BC seems busier in the lobby because of Cape May.

We also love WL! You got the best of both worlds!

Glad you had a nice trip :). We've stayed at both and had great stays at both (although WL and not the villas). I agree that WL does have a more relaxed atmosphere, but both are great resorts :goodvibes.

HI!

Thanks for sharing. It sounds like you did much like we hope to do in November - a split stay in MK and Epcot areas.

How did you find moving? Was it very inconvenient and did it take a lot of time out of your holiday? We have an infant and a toddler and are wondering if the benefits of moving outweigh the disadvantage of packing and unpacking an additional time.

Thanks! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the resorts. BC and WL are 2 of my favs as well!!

the YC is much quieter than BC - you might really enjoy it (we love the YC, but don't care for the "hustle-bustle" of the BC/BCV either).
another option is the BWI/BWV, both are quiet (and elegant) indoors, with many dining/entertainment options. we love that so much is within (literally) minutes of our room, yet the interiors remain a beautifuly tranquil oasis :cloud9:

OP here. We drive so we were able to pack up the van on "moving day" and leave the stuff in the van during the hours of 11-4 when we were homeless. My boys are both teens, so it was pretty stress free. I can see how moving and packing would be more challenging with a baby or toddler since there is about a 5 hour window when you can be without a home. (Resort check in is an hour earlier...3pm which only leaves 4 hours of homelessness.)

And I will say that YC and BW are also on my radar! So many resorts, so little time!:rotfl2:

WL and AKV are our two favs also. I love the feeling of being away from it all. As our boys get older we want to try Epcot area resorts and maybe CR but part of me would rather spend on other items when I can save a little with rooms at other fabulous resorts.

My family and I are doing the reverse of what you did this coming July. We'll be staying in a 2BR villa at VWL from July 21-24, followed by three nights in a 2 BR at BCV from July 24-27! I'm a little nervous since this will be our first trip with family and little ones in tow, so I'm hoping one of our waitlists comes through and we get a full week at BCV before we head down.

My wife and I have stayed at WL before and absolutely loved it! I'm figuring that my 8 year old nephew will fall in love with the log cabin feel until he goes down the slide at SAB. I'm glad you had a great trip!
