Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our three nights at the RPR on the 7th floor club level. We had a king bed room and it was very spacious with a sofa and two chairs w table.

We enjoyed the convenience of Tower 3 whose elevator lets you out right at the pool and the walkway to the water taxi. We were four rooms down from the club lounge so it was a handy location for getting food, especially rolling out of bed in the morning and having breakfast right there.

With the club food, we only spent money on restaraunt food twice (one lunch, one dinner) in three days! The breakfasts were very plentiful w hot oatmeal, cold cereal, fruits, yogurt, juices, and lots of different carbs--donuts, toast, bagels, croissants, hot cinnamon buns, etc. Afternoon snacks were nuts, chips, fruit, sodas; great to take down to the pool. The early dinner food was enough for us--salad, chips & salsa, a main dish such as meatballs w couscous, cheese & crackers, veggies & dip--along w beer, wine, sodas. There was dessert service from 8-9 pm but we only made it to that once. The club staff was very helpful and friendly.

We really love the RPR for the ambience and relaxing vibe. We did notice that the service all over the hotel was better than the last time we were there.

Happy to answer any questions...

Thanks for the review! :goodvibes

We'll be trying club level at RPR for the first time in May.

rph club has very good food offerings.

when i did club last month, i enjoyed it.

the employees that staff the club lounge are fantastic.

Thanks for your report. Are all the club level rooms on the same floor at this hotel?

We are trying to decide between the 3 hotels for our next August trip and it will be our first to Universal with the kids and our first staying on property.

I think that I read that at PBH, the rooms and club level are on different floors. That sounds a bit inconvenient so we just currently have a reservation there for a garden view room, but for just a little more we are considering upgrading to RPR Club level, since my husband really enjoys that.

How convenient was this resort to the park?

I know HRH is closest but the other two appeal to my tastes more. We do plan to checking out the pool there at least one of the days though.

Thx.

RPR club level rooms are generally all located on the same floor, but there has been instances where guests have been placed on other floors .PBH club guests are spread over different floors( we are staying here in JAn) .From what I am gathering they try to keep club guests in the same basic area but that could still be a hike from the lounge. No biggie for us, but for others it is a big deal.HRH is like RPH , it also has club rooms located all on the same floor.

there are only 40 rooms on the club level.

if you want to have club and it is full, you will be placed on another floor.

i requested floor 6 last month and had club privledges.
(i wanted a king suite.)

Thanks for your post, my family (DH, 2 early teens and me)are going to Orlando in April/May 2012 and considering whether to go standard or club. Seems like club could be cost effective. Is it easy enough to pop back to hotel during the day? Also tossing up whether to do HP package with Breakfast at 3 Broomsticks as I thought this would be a cool experience but maybe it would be better to do an evening visit for a butterbeer, seeing as breakfast is available at club lounge.
I appreciate any ideas you might have.

We just got back and for my family (kids ages 11, 14, and 16), club was awesome! The price was soooo worth it! I think my kids ate enough of the yummy donuts to get our money's worth! We loved the convenience of popping in for sodas and we had plenty for dinner every night. We especially loved the nightly sweet treats as well. We left the parks everyday around three, swam or worked out, and then had some dinner around 5:00. We'd then go back to the parks until about 8:00ish and head back for treats around 8:30. I would get club level again in a heartbeat. Plus, the workers are so sweet!!!

Thanks to all the posters here. We decided to change our reservations to RPR Club level for only about $165 more in total for 4 nights in August over PBH garden view room. We will definately get our moneys worth in August as we like to do early morning in the park, then break for pool time in the afternoon, then back again to the parks for a little more in the evening.

RPR sounds wonderful. As far as checking out the other two hotels for a swim or bite to eat, can we drive there or is it more convenient to take the water taxi to the other hotels? If we drive, do we have to pay more parking over and above the guest parking rate we will pay at RPR?

Also if anyone can give me the best and fastest way to both parks. I am assuming you can either walk or do the water taxi. I am a total Universal newbie and have no idea of the layout of where the parks and the resorts sit.

it is easier to take the water taxi to city walk and then the hotel water taxi.
parking is $20 at the hotels for day guests but i'm sure that would be waived as you are a hotel guest.
it is troublesome to drive that short distance to the other hotels.
