Just back from our stay--here are my DVC reviews--
1) BWV from 7/7 to 7/12. Asked to be close to elevators because my parents joined us--were in the FIRST ROOM past the elevators, # 3069-3071. Great location after a long day--but the view kind of sucked, I could practically look into all the cars dropping off and picking up at the valet parking. Room was in good shape but the LR sofa bed stuck coming out and needed an extra good yank to assemble.
2) VWL from 7/14-7/16--I had originally booked a 1 BR for 4 nights but saved points for next years cruise (fingers crossed) by booking the Poly on the weekend and doing 2 nights in a 2BR--I kind of regret it now! We love VWL!!!!! DH esp. says it is "more like us" than BWV. I am looking into whether I can get 15 more BWV points, since I can afford 1 week standard view BWV every other year but not 1 week VWL if I switch at 7 months. Oh well. I think this place might call more for a car, although we never had any bus issues. We had room #5556--at the far end from the elevator (talk about extremes!) . A very nice dedicated 2BR, only problems were a broken latch on the 2nd BR patio door (the one with my kids in it!!) and I smacked my head on the dormer tucking DD#2 in.
We also looked at BCV, but I think I will only buy if I need an addon to fuel our VWL habit--it is just so similar to BWV, the pool would be the only selling point.

Hi Robin-
We were at the BWV the same time as you, but up on the 5th floor. My parents joined us for 1 night, but they are of the thought that you are much better off off-site in bigger accomodations for less $$, and weren't that impressed with the Boardwalk:earseek: . I also had a hard time with the LV sofa bed; it was very hard to open up. I thought it may have just been ours, but maybe they are all like that? On a good note, my brother and SIL slept on it one night, and my boys slept on it the rest of the week. All agreed it was very comfortable and didn't feel like your typical sleeper sofa.

Hope you enjoyed your trip as much as we did!

That's funny. Our sofa bed was also hard to open up. I guess they're all getting worn at the same time.

I was on the first floor in a standard room one bedroom

We were at VWL in 5548 and the latch was also broken on the second bedroom door. What's up with that??? There was however a latch higher up on the door that did work. It just didn't seem as sturdy as the original lock.
