Our trip was December 10-17 and we ate at several new places for the four of us this trip. Here’s what we thought.

Food tent at Caribbean Beach - okay, glad it was just a QS, not worth more

50’s Primetime Cafe - my husband’s favorite. He had the fried chicken and I had the crab cake appetizer. Paid OOP. Plus cousin Eric was a hoot!

Le Cellier - requested by all four of us. Each couple had the porterhouse for two. It was so good, and so were the sides!!

Whispering Canyon - okay, glad we did it once. Husband and I had the BBQ, DD and SIL had the burger. Nobody said they would go back.

Hollywood Brown Derby - last minute reservation due to a change of plans later in the week. Husband and SIL had the filet and said it was amazing. I had the salmon, which was very good. DD had the veal which she said was good. Liked the three mini desserts.

La Hacienda de San Angel - this was on the Candlelight Processional package. Food was amazing! For appetizers I had the guacamole, husband had the soup, DD had empanadas, and SIL had the gorditas. DD and I had the taco plate, SIL had the shrimp tacos, husband had the steak. For dessert they all had the apple empanada and I had the chocolate mousse. Our server, Paola, was the best of the whole trip!

Kona Cafe for breakfast. Paid OOP. Okay, but nothing special for us.

We ate at the canteen in Pandora. Really good lunch! Very different but very tasty!

Overall, we were very happy with our choices. Only ones we will not go back to are Whispering Canyon and Kona Cafe.

Most people love Kona for breakfast but we find it just ok and will eat there again if staying at the Poly or another MK resort but won’t make a special trip for it like we do with our favorite breakfast spots. We have dinner at 50’s PTC and Le Cellier every trip. We have never done dinner at WCC but enjoy breakfast there. We have lunch at HBD.

Thanks for the reviews! We were considering whispering canyon for our next trip. Was the food not good? Or just not good enough to go out of the way for?

Not worth going out of the way for imo. Go to Trails End in the campground if you want BBQ style food. WAY better and all you can eat.

We might be trying Whispering Canyon in March before DAH unless we are able to get into the park at 4 pm. If that happens we will eat inside the park instead.

Very nice reviews. We do Whispering Canyon every trip and have it scheduled for June. You gave Le Cellier good marks. I have read a lot of recent reviews giving it a thumbs up again. Might have to add it back to our schedule for the 2021 trip.

We were also not overly impressed with Whispering Canyon. It was okay. Don't think we will go back.
