Just returned from the All Star Sports last night.
There for 8 days 7 nights FTP.
Any one have any questions?

Heres what I can say...
ratings are 1-5...1 being bad...5 being great..

---------------Resort---------------

Speed/friendliness of service at check in... rate 5 WOW!!

Rooms are small...but hey, your not staying there for the rooms, your there for the parks... rate 3

Stayed in room 1109 at Surfs up...Very close to pool and food court, but loud as it is right next to pool. If we would have been on other side, I would have given a 4. Rate 3

Mousekeeping was below average. No special things done with our room or 5 yr old sons toys, etc. Did bring hair dryer for wife. 2nd to last night son got sick in the bathroom. (too much chocoloate and hot dogs) Wife cleaned it up. Called mousekeeping for more towels. Showed up 1 hr later. We gave them the "used towels" in a bag. Mousekeeper just rolled her eyes. She didnt do any work but seemed put out. Rate 2

Food selection/quality at the food court is great...Try the steak/mushroom noodles. Price is decent for all things. Be sure to get the mugs for free refills... rate 5

Gift Shop selection. Lots of everything.... rate 5

-------------Observation--------------

Question here..Not meant to make anyone mad or upset, but just a question.
Why is it, in the world, you hear alot of countries/people hate the USA and dog it every chance they get, but when it comes to Vacation/holiday time, a lot of thosepeople travel to WDW. We must be doing something right. No one points out the good we provide to the world, just have to highlight the negative. We are not perfect, but we know how to make people happy and have a good time.

No replys neccessary. Just a thought..

------------Parks----------------------------

MK. GREAT rate 5 Went there 6 different times thoughout the trip. Croweded on 8/23, but saw spectromagic, and fireworks. Got on most major rides without too much of a wait. Got on BTMRR before it closed down for refurbishment. Loved it. Splash Mountain was fun. Space mountain gets better each ride. Buzz lightyear ride (scored over 500k) good. Tomorrow Land Speedway---this was great. Walked to line. 30 mins. Talked to CM at front. Very Friendly. We joked. She pulled us to front of line. TTA has got to be the hidden jewel. Alot of people skip as it is just an out and back ride with nothing specials. I just love it to watch people and relax! Son found paintbrush on Tom Sawyer Island. Got a fast pass for Splash Mountain.
Peter Pan, Pooh, Snow White, Dumbo, Small World, Alladin, all fun.
Son loved Goofy Barnstormer the best. Saw fireworks from there. Great ride.

AK. average rate 3 Only went there once. Got on the safari ride and dinosaur. Those were awesome. Primeval twirl was broke so didnt ride. Bugs world movie pretty neat. Unless your a major animal lover, you can do this park in less than 4 hrs. Very croweded on EE day.

EPCOT. Above average 4. Test track and Mission: Space were AWESOME!! The sensations on MS were incredible. Rode it 4 times. Standby lines were only 30 mins. Single rider line was 5 mins. Observation here....Most rides people come out talking and saying what they liked. Not on MS. Quiet and subdued like they were collecting thoughts. World Showcase was kind of a let down. At the kidcot stations, several of the CM's were down right rude. Italy and Morroco especially. Honey I shrunk the audience was really cool. Mice and dog were hilarious.

MGM Studios. Above Average 4. Great rides in Rock n Roller coaster, Tower of terror, Star Tours. Playground for kids was fun. Backstage tour was neat as well. Muppets in 3d was very cool. Fantasmic was a great show, however I was very dissapointed. We did a dinner package. Had dinner at Hollywood and Vine. Waiter Ken gave us our voucher for "priority seating" and said show up at 8:25 and you will get a great seat. We knew better and showed up at 8:00. We got lousy seats. I wanted to walk back to the restraunt and wring his neck. Great show though..

Downtown disney/Disney Quest/Pleasure Island. Average 3.
Shopping is great. Personally I would like it better if it was covered and airconditioned. Disney Quest is alot of fun. Great games to play. Pleasure Island not all that impressed, but I'm sure it would be better without a 5 yr old telling me he was hungry/thirsty/bored/tired.

-----------------------Bus Transportation---------------------

Mears.....average at best....3 Cattle car mentality. Cram as much as possible into the seats. Driver on the way to resort was lousy. No personality. On the way back, watched cartoons and sang along with bus driver. Made up for the first driver.

Disney Transportation.....average....3 Busses, again cattle car mentality. Although sometimes they were funny. Last night at Downtown Disney, we got on bus at first stop. Had seats but wedged in there like very intimate sardines. Bus craps out at 2nd stop. Everyone off. No special bus called. Driver says next bus is only 5mins behind. It shows up and is full already. Get 10 people on. Same thing happens on the next 2 busses. Finally get on the 4th bus and people pushed ahead of us. Had to stand. Uggh!!!
Monorail is great. We got to ride up front with the driver. What a great view. Son got a co pilots license. Loved every second of it.
Driver was very friendly and social. Her name was Amanda.

---Overall rating---------------------

3.75 out of 5.

FTP package was a very good deal. 8 days for $1100, plus get a free framed art. Most CM's were very friendly, but some could use a little attitude adjustment. Weather, well we knew we would get rained on everyday. Just get a poncho and roll with it.
Crowds were declining everyday after 8/25. EE days are great.
Fastpass is the only way to go. Be friendly and engage in conversation with the cast members. You may get rewarded or at least make a friend if only for 2 mins.

Disney does a great job of keeping people happy at the parks. If you ever need anything just ask.

Im saving the money to go back again next year.
Might stay in a different resort to sample the atmosphere there though.

If you have other questions, let me know and I will try to answer.

thank you so much for taking the time to address each issue......I agree rain and ponchos go hand in hand......I love fantasmic PKG and we always went early if not for the change to get a good seat and people watch too....any particular restaurants that you went to or enjoyed.....thanks again

I'm in Euless!
Thanks for the trip report. I can't wait to go, but I'm going to be sad when it's my turn to write a trip report (that means my trip will be OVER!) :(
But hey, I'm in double digits, now!

Wow great trip report. Thanks for sharing. Sorry about your fantasmic experience. We also had ken for our server. He said show up by 8:30. Did your blue card say show up between 7:00 and 8:30 because after our dinner we walked onto the GMR and Sounds Dangerous and then walked in to Fantasmic. I think it was like before 7:30. We went early because it takes me a long while and I knew it would so we arrived early. The Cm even let me sit in the handicapped row way up so I wouldnt have to do the stairs. We were probably one of the first 25 in the witch section. But usually you can see pretty good wherever you sit in that section. Well there is always next time for some more magic!

Wonderful reviews ~ Thanx for sharing!!!!
