I love that people take the time to write dining reviews! I don't have any food pics (sorry!) but I did want to stop in and let you know how my family and I enjoyed (or didn't) our dining this trip...
We arrived later in the evening to WL and our first meal was at Roaring Forks. My DH and I shared the flatbread of the day, which was Buffalo Chicken. It was delish! It was loaded with chicken, buffalo sauce and lots of chunks of bleu cheese. My kids had the usual kids fare-- a cheeseburger and chicken tenders. Both were just fine. They were disappointed that RF does not offer Mac n cheese but everything else we got from there was good. Another day I got a different flatbread which was a BBQ pulled pork and cheddar cheese. Mmm another winner!!
The following evening we ate at Via Napoli for the first time. It will also be the last time! The service was very rushed, and the food was subpar. We did order calamari that was good. My DD ordered minestrone and just picked at it. It was very bland. My DH and I ordered pizzas. The quatro staggioni and the prosciutto and melon. The pizzas that were cooked in those cool wood burning ovens were soggy and mushy in the middle. Ugh! The melon pizza was not quite as bad but the quatro looked bad too, just thrown together and the toppings did not look very fresh. My DH and I each also ordered a drink, sangria (meh) and a beer. $100 later and we walked away disappointed. This was definitely our worst meal of the trip...and possibly even of all time, at Disney.
Our next day we went to Yak n Yeti, CS, in AK. I ordered the Honey Chickenand it was great. There was PLENTY to share and had lots of broccoli and rice in a sweet sauce. Delish!
We then headed to the Poly before enjoying EMH late night at MK. My DH,DD15 and I headed for the sushi bar. This was our favorite and best meal of the trip. The sushi chef was very friendly and taught us a few things about sushi while preparing our dishes. My DD got the Nigiri and loved it. My DHand I both got the Volcano roll. SOOOOOO GOOD!!! It is sort of like a kicked up spicy tuna roll served with a creamy shrimp salad and crispy tempura as a garnish. Delish!!!!! We also ordered dessert here, the Kona Kone and the chocolate fondue. Both looked and tasted great!
Another TS we had was at Teppan Edo in Epcot. This is a typical Japanese Hibatchi restaurant. The food was good, tho the sushi at the Poly was better. There just wasn't much of a show, and the portions are not what we have come to expect at our local Hibatchi place.
We also love to eat around the world in Epcot! We also thoroughly enjoyed the Fish n Chips shop in "England". There is nothing better than grabbing an order of those crispy fish n chips and a beer and heading back to listen to British Invasion! My DH also especially enjoyed the bratwurst sandwiches over in "Germany". I did join him with one on our last day and it really was good. Also in "Germany" my DD and I ventured in to Karamel Kuche! It smells so unbelievably buttery and yummy in there. I tried one of the humongous chocolate and caramel covered strawberries. Outstanding! My DD had a dark chocolate covered caramel which was great but really just too huge!
Well, that's about it!
