I love that people take the time to write dining reviews! I don't have any food pics (sorry!) but I did want to stop in and let you know how my family and I enjoyed (or didn't) our dining this trip...

We arrived later in the evening to WL and our first meal was at Roaring Forks. My DH and I shared the flatbread of the day, which was Buffalo Chicken. It was delish! It was loaded with chicken, buffalo sauce and lots of chunks of bleu cheese. My kids had the usual kids fare-- a cheeseburger and chicken tenders. Both were just fine. They were disappointed that RF does not offer Mac n cheese but everything else we got from there was good. Another day I got a different flatbread which was a BBQ pulled pork and cheddar cheese. Mmm another winner!!

The following evening we ate at Via Napoli for the first time. It will also be the last time! The service was very rushed, and the food was subpar. We did order calamari that was good. My DD ordered minestrone and just picked at it. It was very bland. My DH and I ordered pizzas. The quatro staggioni and the prosciutto and melon. The pizzas that were cooked in those cool wood burning ovens were soggy and mushy in the middle. Ugh! The melon pizza was not quite as bad but the quatro looked bad too, just thrown together and the toppings did not look very fresh. My DH and I each also ordered a drink, sangria (meh) and a beer. $100 later and we walked away disappointed. This was definitely our worst meal of the trip...and possibly even of all time, at Disney.

Our next day we went to Yak n Yeti, CS, in AK. I ordered the Honey Chickenand it was great. There was PLENTY to share and had lots of broccoli and rice in a sweet sauce. Delish!

We then headed to the Poly before enjoying EMH late night at MK. My DH,DD15 and I headed for the sushi bar. This was our favorite and best meal of the trip. The sushi chef was very friendly and taught us a few things about sushi while preparing our dishes. My DD got the Nigiri and loved it. My DHand I both got the Volcano roll. SOOOOOO GOOD!!! It is sort of like a kicked up spicy tuna roll served with a creamy shrimp salad and crispy tempura as a garnish. Delish!!!!! We also ordered dessert here, the Kona Kone and the chocolate fondue. Both looked and tasted great!

Another TS we had was at Teppan Edo in Epcot. This is a typical Japanese Hibatchi restaurant. The food was good, tho the sushi at the Poly was better. There just wasn't much of a show, and the portions are not what we have come to expect at our local Hibatchi place.

We also love to eat around the world in Epcot! We also thoroughly enjoyed the Fish n Chips shop in "England". There is nothing better than grabbing an order of those crispy fish n chips and a beer and heading back to listen to British Invasion! My DH also especially enjoyed the bratwurst sandwiches over in "Germany". I did join him with one on our last day and it really was good. Also in "Germany" my DD and I ventured in to Karamel Kuche! It smells so unbelievably buttery and yummy in there. I tried one of the humongous chocolate and caramel covered strawberries. Outstanding! My DD had a dark chocolate covered caramel which was great but really just too huge!

Well, that's about it!

I adore sushi and I meant to try the Kona Island when I stayed there last Sept BUT we will be back this Sept and its a must do for us! We also thought Via Napoli was not very good at all.

We did Teppan Edo and felt the same way, defanitely have better hiachi here..

thanks for the review...always good to hear about experiences.

So sorry your pizza at Via Napoli was not good...wonder if they had a new cook working in there? We've eaten there 3 times and loved the pizza every time...sure hope it was a new cook not getting the cook times right (would hate to hear it's already going downhill!)

Have to get around to trying the fish & chips one of these times - I just keep reading good reviews! ...in all our trips, we haven't eaten at the fish & chips stand!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the review,
Sorry to read that VN was not good. We had the best pizza there (my husband thought it came close to the one we ate in Florence)

Sorry about VN! It was a highlight of our trip! We LOVED the Quattro stagioni pizza!!!

Hi, OP again...

I read so many great reviews of Via Napoli! We were so excited to try it. I also hope it was just an off day, or new chef or something because it really was awful. Not only was the pizza lousy and mushy, I did not mention before but I was sick as a dog that night after that meal. However , like I mentioned, I read lots of fab reviews for this place so maybe it was just a fluke.

I do hope you sushi lovers will try the place at the Poly! My DH and I are still talking about it! I wish I could find a place around here to make a volcano roll like that!

And Yes, please do grab some fish n chips! It really is great and the people that work at the shop are so friendly. Even if you don't get the fish n chips, definitely go see British Invasion. It is a great show. We saw them two Saturdays ago and the area was packed with people dancing and singing along.

.....OP again....

Oh man. I can't believe I forgot a couple of our meals!

So on Monday, April 11, my DH took my oldest DD over to Islands of Adventure to visit Harry Potter, so I took my two younger kids over to Ohana for breakfast. This is hands down our favorite character meal. The interactions are great. My DS is not afraid of the characters but is quite shy around them and the characters always approach him in just the right way. The food....mmm. The pineapple bread is sweet and delicious. The coffee was good, a little on the strong side for my taste, but still good. Then the waitress brought over our big skillet/wok full of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and biscuits. Another waiter brought us out two Mickey waffles each. Everything was very good, except for the bacon. I am not faulting ohana for this one, because it seems like all of Disney has super thin, "uncrispy" bacon. The whole experience was great. The service was prompt but not at all rushed. We love that this is served family style, as we all are not fans of a buffet.

Another meal we had that day was at Margaritaville on City Walk in Universal. We have been here quite a few times and it did not disappoint. It is just a fun place to grab some delish crab dip and a cheeseburger in paradise, and of course a margarita!!! (I recommend the "Perfect Margarita"!)

....and that Perfect Margarita reminds me...

We also tried La Cava de Tequila. It was very good. Actually our first margarita there was a daily special which was a frozen mango, and it seems "weak" and bland. We returned a day or two later with some friends and tried the Blood orange, passion fruit and the regular lime margaritas, all on the rocks. All were so good, especially the blood orange. My DH and I returned our last day and tried the cucumber after it was recommended by a couple we met there previously. It was also very good and refreshing, tho the special type of salt they used for that one was weird for me. Our DD tried the shrimp tostadas there as well. They were very tasty but a little spicy for her.

Ok I think I really am done now....lol.
