:sunny: Well we just got back from our Memorial day week trip and we had a great time.... :thumbsup2
It was HOT at times, but not too bad over all. Temps at the beg of the week were in the upper 80's and no rain...Then end of the week things heated up a bit with afternoon showers. no bid deal...
Crowds were there!! It was busy ,but we managed to get everthing done that we wanted too. Memorial day we rode Everest at AK 5 times and never waited in line. We got there are opening and went straight to EE though Dinoland. Very easy and the path less traveled.. :thumbsup2 Got a fastpass and then rode it. We then met up with my cousins and got another fastpass for later. Then ended up using my Counsins fast passes and rode 2 more times. Once was enough for them. We loved it!! very smooth!! :goodvibes

Tuesday we did MGM...again at opening. Rode TOT (3 times) Rockin RC (2 times) Did all the shows we wanted with an afternoon break. Got back for Fantasmic and sat down around 8:10 for the 9:00 pm show.!!

Wed "Magic Kingdom".... Got there opening and did all the mountains and some of Fantasyland by noon...Only line we waited in was Space M and that was only 30 min. Atleast it was cool indoors.. ;) Took an afternoon break and went back by 5:00 pm. Had a couple showers to cool us down, but I had my ponchos. Rode several more rides and then grabbed a spot for Spectro magic around 8:15 in front of the Hall of Presidents!! perfect! :thumbsup2
Watched Wishes and then just chilled and waited for the park to clear out.

Thursday was rest and swim day! Went to Ohana and just loved the new menu!!! I was a bit worried, but was not dissapointed!
Loved the new way the made the shrimp and the dessert was so yummy! :teeth: You will be full!!! We were miserable!! Not even hungry the next day.

Friday was Epcot and we had a very relaxing fun day there. Rode Soarin twice with Fastpass. So cool!!!! :woohoo: We loved it. Left Future world around noon and spent the rest of the day enjoying the World Showcase. Took afternoon break and back at 6:00. Made it too all the countries and got a great spot for Illuminations. Love staying at the Boardwalk!! Love the back entrance into Epcot. Very easy!

As for eating...We only used our ADR for Ohana. With the humidity and riding all the rides.. We just were not hungry at all. So we ate pretty lite all week.
Had the super nachos and margaritas in Mexico and that was gooooood! :goodvibes
Turkey legs in MGM and I really wanted nothing else. AK we did Pizzafari??
We had Cereal every morning before the parks.
Thursday morning we did eat breakfast at Spoodles and that was very good!

We love the BWV.. Our balcony had a view of the Epcot ball and the boardwalk and the greens...Could not have asked for more. :thumbsup2 I am spoiled...

I had a great time, but I did miss going in the off season and being able to slow down and relax and enjoy the parks..It is hard to do with the heat and that many people. We did manage to get everything done, but it was work!

I was so ready to come home on Saturday. I think I will go ahead and pull DD out of school a couple days so we can go in the Fall again for our future trips. I enjoy eating at WDW and this trip I just could not do it.... Cooler weather is better for eating all those big meals...

If you have any Questions...Please ask away....

Michelle

Thanks for sharing your experience! DH and I leave on Thursday and can't wait. Like you we tend to go in the off-season so this will be a change for him, though I went with my sis and mom last June. Glad you had a great trip!

Just wanted to add that the Flower and Garden show at EPCOT was beautiful!!! :flower: :flower: :flower1: :daisy: :flower2: :rose:

If you can take you time and enjoy!! Epcot was the park that felt the least crowded. Glad we chose that as our last park.

Very relaxing and had no problems staking out a spot for Illuminations about 20 minutes before it started... :thumbsup2

Oh and we also got too see the "real Tink" begin "Wishes! :flower2: :tink: Very Magical!! How do you get that job??????

Thanks for the review! Sounds like you had a GREAT time, I hope we get lucky with the weather just like you. My family leaves in 16 days and we are really excited about going!

Maybe we might have seen you while we were there! We stayed at BWV from May 28 - June 3 and had a fantastic view of the Boardwalk, Spaceship Earth and the Beach Club. In fact, here's a [picture of a view from our room:

We were in room 5055, how about you?

By the way, were you unfortunate enough to experience the very large group of obvnoxious 15-16 year old girls that were staying at BWV on the 5th floor? If you did, you'd know exactly which ones I'm talking about!

We must have been right below you. We had the same view and loved it. We were in 4055. :thumbsup2 Too funny!

No we never saw those girls...I guess cause we were on the 4th floor.

My Mom and Dad's Studio was just down the hall and they had a pool view and of TOT...Very cool! :goodvibes

We loved the Boardwalk area.....I hope to stay there again someday.

We did have so much fun this trip and got so much done, but I am looking forward to early December and cooler weather and less crowded parks. We are going to do MVMCP and Epcot before our cruise. :teeth:

Thanx for the review ~ Sounds as though you had a wonderful time.

We were there during Memorial Day weekend too and I also miss going in the off-season. I feel that we still missed so much because of the heat and trying to get fastpasses for the rides we really wanted to do. My DS7 got to ride every attraction that was on his list but the astro orbiters but we missed some of the smaller things like going in Mickey and Minnie's house. I think the next time we go, we'll try for DS7's fall break and if we have to, we'll pull him out of class for a day or two.

Glad you still had a good time.

You can not just relax and enjoy that parks when it is hot and busy..

We stuck to our plan and would run for Fastpasses...The kids would be dragging behind me...Slow down..... I was like a drill sergent, but they tell me it was worth it!! :thumbsup2 We really did have fun.

At AK we were all running for EE when they let us in at opening...It was so funny!!! :goodvibes

I don't mind pulling my DD out for 2-3 days...I look for short weeks. She is a good student. It makes a huge difference in touring the parks..
