just back - NO LUGGAGE

Just arrived back and our cases were put onto the wrong flight - they're being couriered to my house when the next flight arrives - only one flight every 24 hours!!!

Anyway, we had a great holiday apart from me being bitten 50+ times by mozzies - 1st time I've be bitten in the 5 years I've gone in Oct.

We did the Illuminations Cruise and my DD7 drove the boat for a while - he thought it was great!

Did MNSSHP for the 1st time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Our friends wedding went well and my 3 children got to have a ride in the limo which was decked out like an aquarium - very different.

Roll on next year - two weeks hols is just not enough time for Florida.

Welcome home Helen Sounds like an exciting holiday !

I hope you don't have any immediate essentials in your cases - don't think you'll be needing your shorts now you are home. We have had people stay with us whose luggage was flying about all over the place and sent on later by courier. In one instance it was only a buggy that had flown off elsewhere, they had their suitcases!! It all turned up safely by courier and I hope yours does too

3 suitcases missing - ALL the pressies and new clothes and trainers etc etc etc etc

the 'lovely lady' at checkin checked the cases onto the wrong flight no (1819 instead of 319) - so the cases are presently inflight from Newark airport to Glasgow - clever or what?

luckily she got the correct flight no for the boarding passes!

Hi Helen and welcome back. Sorry to hear about your luggage, shame your suitcases don't have their own passports, they'd be full of stamps by now

I know what you mean about the mozzies - I got 52 bites . . and that was wearing mozzie repellant. Most of my bites were down around Marco Island on the gulf coast, only got 2 in Orlando. I've never had a problem in Florida before. I think it's where the boggy bits are very boggy from all the summer rain.

Still, it's bringing my DD's friend's some amusement by attempting to play "join the dots" on my legs

Cases have finally arrived - just unopacked them and they seem to be OK - 2 out of the 3 cases were checked by security.

The delayed baggage people were correct - the checkin tags which were put on the cases in Tampa were the WRONG flight no's.

I don't think we'll fly out of Tampa again - even if it is cheaper x 5 people - the only reason we flew out of there this year.


Roll on next year.

I'm having withdrawal symptoms already - lol
