Just back... need some cheering up :(

well i jjust got back from my amazing cruise and disney vacation and had an awsome time (gunna do the trip report soon) but i'm feeling super sad right now because we lost our camera all my photos are gone we got a few photos on the photo pass at disney and bought a few pictures on the ship but it just put such a bad ending on such an amazing trip

I am so sorry for that loss and know exactly how you feel. We were just at Disney in Dec. and I accidentally left my camera bag with 2 brand new cameras in it and over 700 pictures on them. I was panicked big time and we had already had 3 things taken from us on this trip (with only one of the 3 recovered). I just knew we had lost all our pictures for good. Well, after breaking down to the manager at Roring Forks (where I left it) I got a cell phone call from my DH. A CM had turned it in to the front desk. I was so relieved, but realized how differently the outcome could have been. I am really sorry that yours was not recovered. That is a major loss. Thankfully you have some on the photopass and from the ship. Sending hugs for a better day and future.

Oh, that's terrible. I'm so sorry for the lost camera, but you still have the memories and those will last as long (or sometimes longer) than the pictures would have. This just means that you'll have to do it again!! It's a good excuse anyway!! Besides, who knows...it might still show up somewhere!!

Sometimes the universe balances things out, though. I'll bet your memories of this trip will stay sharp and clear all your lives!

I lost our video camera somewhere on our 2003 trip. I either left it at the condo or left it somewhere in Daytona Beach on the side of the road or the beach or something weird like that. I realized I couldn't find it when we got home, but just thought it had gotten packed in w/ something else and by the time I figured out we didn't have it, it was way too late to worry about finding it. I was so upset about, I never told anyone. We still did have our regular pictures, so we were very fortunate w/ that, but I would kill to have the video as well.

thanks so much for your responces . no sign of the camera i've accepted that its gone.. its not the camera i'm upset about more all those pictures but at least we bought pictures on the cruise and i'm going to buy a few from disney too and we have lots of souvineers which makes me feel better and besides my dbf has already said we are gunna go to disney again to make up for those lost pictures

Awwww, what a bummer. I've lost rolls of film before, and it's devastating. We have a digital camera now, and I used a tip from the DIS a while back to identify it... the first picture (that never gets deleted) is of a piece of paper that boldly has my name, phone # and email address on it. I'm hoping that if anyone ever picks it up, they'll flip through the pictures and see it and call me!

I am so sorry. This happened to us on our 20th wedding anniversary trip last summer - someone stole it right off the beach while we were in the ocean.

You'll just have to hurry back so you can take replacement pictures.
