Hello all! I just got back Sunday from a trip 2/20-2/28, and wanted to share some quick dining reviews/thoughts.
Quick info: we used the DxDP and it was me (28) and DH (30). We like character meals (well, at least I do, lol) and the signatures.
OK, here we go:
- Overall, there wasn't any place I wouldn't go again. We had all good meals, including some really awesome servers! So, just for some perspective, that's how we felt looking back.
- Sanaa: I was sort of disappointed in this one. All of the reviews have been so great that I was expecting really big things. It was good don't get me wrong, but I wasn't blown away and I think I was expecting to be based on how much everyone raves about it. The naan and sauces were really good, but the lamb shank entree was just OK.
- I was really impressed with San Angel Inn! The place gets some mediocre reviews so I was on the fence about it but I'm so glad we ate there - it's a new must-do for us. The queso fondue appetizer was super tasty and I really enjoyed the Mexican Combination. But the star of the show is definitely the atmosphere. It really feels like you're in a Mexican market eating a meal. I loved it!
- BOG dinner was another favorite of mine, the strip steak was great! But I LOVED the strawberry cheesecake cupcake at the end. I thought I didn't have room for dessert but once I had a little taste I couldn't stop eating it!
- Other places added to our "must do" list for the future: Narcoosee's, Citrico's and California Grill (we've done California Grill before, but this trip really confirmed that we're going to have to keep going back!) Citrico's was amazing. Just amazing. Loved everything I tasted, especially the crem brûlée!
- DH really loved breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. He had multiple servings of the Eggs Benedict, and I really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls. I think we might try dinner next time too, since we rode the bus with a family that just raved about it.
