Hi.
Just back from a wonderful trip with DD age 9.

Did MVMCP Nov. 30th.
Loved it.
Here are some tips and details:

We were able to enter the park at 4:30 PM with just our MVMCP tickets and received our wristbands.

We had dinner at CP at 5 PM then went to Tomorrowland.
We were able to get our picture taken right away. (which I strongly advise because I saw long lines later all night).

We then rode Tomorrowland, Fantasyland rides. All were walkons. We rode HM, BTMR. All were walkons.
We rode Splash 3 times in a row without getting out of the log and we rode with my DD in front row and me in second row and had whole log to ourselves. (we have a GREAT picture: a special one with snow and Christmas hats on Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox).

We rode Pirates, Jungle Cruise and everything else. All were walkons while the first parade was going on.

We saw Wishes at 9:15.
Stayed for most of the castle show then went to see Mickey's Twas the night before Xmas show at 10:30.

Watched the second parade at 10:45. It was fabulous.

Went to Tomorrowland and rode Buzz and got hot chocolate and cookies. We took our time getting out of the park taking pictures and seeing the "snow" on main street.

Caught a bus right away with no wait.

Here is the schedule I picked up just for you, my DIS friends:
(PS I was bummed: I did not see any Dissers)

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade: 8:15 and 10:45
Wishes 9:15

Mickeys Twas the Night Before Christmas Show (Galaxy Palace theater in Tommorowland) 6:15, 7:15, 8:15, 9:30, and 10:30

Celebrate the Season Show (Castle stage) 7:00, 9:30, 12:00

Goofy's Country Dancin Jamboree Celebrates the Holidays show
(Diamond horseshoe saloon) in Liberty Square) 7:30, 8:45, 10:00

Belles Enchanted Christmas Storytelling (fantasyland pavilion)
7:30, 8:40, 9:30, 10:20, 11:10

Snowflake Special Storytelling (Fairytale Garden in Fantasyland)
7:25, 8:05, 8:55, 10:15, 11:30

Lake Howell Holiday Brass Band (Tomorrowland Stage)
6:45, 7:45, 8:45

All in all, a great time.
They also have special merchandise that is only available at the party. We got really cute sweatshirts and the pin. (You are allowed two pins and they mark it on your bracelet when you buy it). The free picture is one per adult in the family, but I "whined nicely" and they told me I could get two!

Make sure you schedule yourself a rest day the next day. We were wiped out and just hung out till night.

I would be happy to answer any questions.

Thanks for taking the time to post your review!

So, you had time to see the 10:30 showing of Twas the night and still see the parade at 10:45? Where did you watch the parade from?

Did you buy the special merchandise early, or was it available later? (just wondering if we need to get to it right away!)

Only 3 more days til we go!! :bounce:

We left the show a little bit early and watched the parade from the hub after crossing over from Tomorrowland. We were able to sit right behind some people sitting on the curb and could see perfectly. It was not that crowded for the second parade.
The parade started in Frontierland so we probably did not need to leave the show early, we just wanted to make sure we got a spot and didn't miss it.
We weren't able to see a lot of the shows but my dd was more interested in riding. We did love the parade though.

We bought the merchandise right after we got our picture. We went to Mickeys Start Traders in Tomorrowland. I noticed a lot of people buying stuff and figured we better get it early.
I did not notice if they had stuff out later.

Thanks for the report! What time did you get done eating and get over to get your picture taken? We have the same plans::yes::

We finished eating right at 6pm and went right over to Tomorrowland. By 6:45, we were riding Buzz because I remember thinking, that the party hadn't officially started yet but we were riding and already had our picture done!

They were herding the rest of the crowd out while we were in Tomorrowland. I remember that they checked for an armband before they let us get in line for the ride.

Have a great time everyone! It was very very fun!
The parade is awesome!

Tell me more about the picture. We are a family of 4. So we can get two pictures. You said something about each adult can get one picture.

I remember reading in past posts that you could get one picture per person.

Thanks. Glad you had a great trip. I can't wait.

how did the fireworks compare to last year's party?

I gushed about them to friends who've never been - I don't want to look like a big fat liar if they're not as cool.

The picture is one free picture per adult ticket.
They put a little p on the back of your ticket when you get it.
(You need your actual ticket). You fill out a form with your name and address. There is a place to order more pictures for a fee but I didn't want to order a picture without seeing it. (I don't remember the prices, sorry).

The fireworks were the same exact Wishes fireworks that I saw on the Friday after Thanksgiving with Tinkerbelle. I had read somewhere that there was a reindeer also, but it was the regular Wishes fireworks. They were still very enjoyable but I was disappointed that there were no Christmas differences.
This was my first Christmas experience so I don't know how they compared with last year.;)

It's so exciting to hear about MVMCP. I think this is the thing I'm looking forward to the most about our upcoming trip. woooohoooooo....it won't be long now. :Pinkbounc

We were able to get our wristbands at 4:30 when we entered.
I don't know what time they started giving them out.

Whhhaaaa! I am jealous - did you see the character of Brer Fox and Brer Rabbit?? (I love the Brer's, especially Brer Fox!) Or did they put snow hats on the characters in the pictures of you going down the big falls they sell at the end of the ride? Well, either way it sounds like you had a great time at the party! :) I got to get there some day! :)

Great informational review I enjoyed reading.::yes:: :wave2:

It was not the character.
It was hats on the character in the picture.

I would love to see them too.

Thanks for the great review! This will be our first time at MVCMP and I'm really looking forwrd to it!::yes::

:earsgirl: :earsboy: I noticed that you were there on a Sunday Night, is the parade & shows that you listed the same time every night? We have tickets for Tuesday, Dec. 16th and don't want to miss out on anything as its our first MVMCP. We also have CP Package for Wednesday, Dec. 17th. We are having dinner at the Coral Reef Grill at 7:30 after the 5:45 show. How early should we get in line for the show?

Thank you,
Suki

There is only one brochure for all nights so I would assume the times don't change.

Have a great time!
