I finally tried school bread from the bakery in Norway in Epcot: DELICIOUS! I wish I would've tried it years ago!
50's Prime Time: I believe that this was the last time I'll ever dine here. This USED to be my family's second favorite Disney World restaurant (Kona Cafe is #1), but basing my opinion on our last few times there, I will NOT be going back again. Last week I had the fried chicken, and it was dry and tasteless, the mashed potatoes had no flavor (I even had a friend taste for me, because I thought maybe my tastebuds were off that day, but even she said they tasted like powdered potatoes), and the vegetable was "collard greens". COLLARD GREENS? COLLARD GREENS are "All American comfort food" I think not. I didn't realize they still had green beans, I should've asked for them instead. Our server was TERRIBLE. I can tell when the servers are playing their roles, but this guy was just a big idiot. GRRR!
As an FYI, when we were there 6 months ago I had the pot roast which I used to LOVE, and it had changed and was terrible, too.
Pinocchio's: I had the grilled/toasted turkey panini sandwich. It was pretty good, but it was huge and it could be shared. Also, it comes with chips, but you can ask for fries instead.
Planet Hollywood: Surprisingly, this was one of the best meals of this trip. I had the fried lasagna thing, and it was awesome!!! Way too much food for one person, you can definitely share this.
Plaza Restaurant: I had the angus burger and boy was it good. I usually don't order hamburgers when I'm at Disney World, but I was in the mood for one. Just a great, basic burger, with all the fixings, served in a nice setting, with great service.
Biergarten: It was good.. all of the offerings seemed fresh and tasty. I don't like traditional German food, so I stuck with the baked chicken, spaetzle, carrots and green beans, etc. The apple strudel was very good, the black forest cake was decent. I've been there before, and I'd go back again if others in my party wanted to go. Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly and brought us drink refills without having to ask.
Garden Grill: The food was pretty good; the second plate of food we ordered was nice and hot, the original platter was sort of cooled off by the time we ate it. I didn't like the flank steak because it had mushroom gravy. Our server was very nice and brought me a side of the gravy that she had picked all of the mushrooms out of, but I could still taste it. lol I thanked her several times for trying to make the gravy to my liking. I tried the catfish; I'm not a seafood eater, but it was good. I enjoyed the turkey with cranberry relish. I enjoyed the steamed veggies (green beans, carrots, and squash, all were very fresh!). The scalloped potatoes were good. The rolls were good, I had a yeast roll. The biscuits looked good too. Service was excellent and the character interaction was EXCELLENT. We saw the characters stop and take their time with the little kids and they even stopped and posed for pictures and kidded around with us (a party of adults only).
Kona Cafe: Breakfast... Pineapple Macadamia Nut pancakes... Heaven on a plate! It comes with bacon but I only took 1 bite of that. I can have bacon anytime; I really enjoyed the pancakes! LOL The pineapple juice was good and it comes in a fairly large glass. Coffee was good too. We had the regular coffee, not the press pot.
Casey's: I had a hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut. It was good, it made for a great lunch that day, I sat on the bleachers in the side room. Not much else to say! LOL
Flame Tree: I had the grilled chicken salad, it was EXCELLENT. Nice slices of grilled, seasoned chicken and fresh greens, with a light dressing. It was fairly large and I couldn't finish it. I tried a couple of the ribs and they were good, but I was happy with my choice of the salad. We sat down behind the restaurant, overlooking the river and Everest. Great view.
Dole Whip Float: YUM.... cold, refreshing, and not too sweet, on a hot sunny Floriday day
Port Orleans Food court: See here: http://www.brownfamilyvacations.com/html/POR2007.htm
Main Street Bakery: I had the french toast loaf. It was good... nothing spectacular, but it made a nice quick breakfast on our last morning. I also had the "frozen latte" and it was more like a coffee milkshake than a true frozen coffee drink. It was good, but way too thick to drink through a straw. While it tasted good, it really wasn't what I had wanted as a beverage to go with my breakfast.
I think that's it. I'll be adding pictures in the next day or two
