Just back, LOVED POP!!

Hi we are just back from a 5 night stay at POP. We were on the 3rd floor of the 80's building. We've never stayed on site before, but we will from now on. Let's see where to start, check in went very smoothly, we got there right around 3:00 and waited in line about 10 minutes. Our room was plenty big enough for our family of 5 with a portable crib. From some of the reviews I read here I expected the room to be a closet, but I was pleased to find it was perfect for us. When we arrived, there was a towel bear waiting for us in the window, and EVERY night when we came back from the parks there were towel animals and our children's stuffed toys arranged in the window, on the chair, and on the bed, The mousekeeping was wonderful! We went to the hippt dippy pool on Tuesday morning and it wasn't crowded at all, and there was only one other child at the baby pool. We used the buses one dday and decided to just use the rental car to get us to the parks after that. It wasn't a terrible wait in line, it's just hard to get on and off the buses with 2 strollers. Please feel free to ask any questions. The dis helped me out so mcu in planing my trip, so I'd love to help others.

? Can you tell me anything about the big screen tv(s) that are at the food court? Are they out of the way a bit and therefore, a little quieter then the rest of the food court or not?

Riu girl--are you the same one from the Playa message boards?? Just curious on the names since we love the Riu properties.

Please do not tell me that there is a playa message board!!!!! I am busy enough with DIS and have no time for another message board

No seriously, that is not me on that board (not yet anyway!!).
And yes, I am riu girl due to my love of the RIU properties. DH and I are just starting to plan another RIU holiday for 01/2007 but have no idea which one this time. I really want to go back to Cozumel but there are no RIUs there. But there are a lot of nice looking 4 and 5 star properties there so we could probably find something. Or maybe that new RIU in Jamaica but I have been to Jamaica 3 times already so I don't know.
I need to get this current vacation (12/16 till 1/8 in Florida) finished then I will start some major RIU planning!!!!!
Glad you enjoy the RIUs also.

we sat in a dining area with a big sceen tv on our last day for breakfast. it is just to the left after you pay, it was a little quieter in that area.

Thanks so much for the info. We stayed at all star movies last year and it was like that (pay and then go to the left to get to the tv area). It was definately the quietest part of the food court. Hopefully POP will be set up in a similar fashion.
