I would suggest the last week of August to anyone considering it as long as you can handle the heat! It was hot, but Disney has the best airconditioning I have ever felt. Even when you walk by a store and the door opens you can feel it.

Getting there at park opening allowed us to walk on any ride. We rode Soaring 3 times in row, then walked to test track and mission space with no real wait.

At the MK we never waiting for any rides, we actually got FP and never used them. No need the lines were not long.

My DDs are 8 and 5 and this is the first time we did not use a stroller. We moved around from ride to ride with no problems. It worked out great!

It makes a huge difference if you can go at a time when there are no lines. You move through the rides faster and it allows you to enjoy the parks more. We did things we never took the time to do before.

Any questions......just post, I am happy to answer

No questions, just saying you did the parks perfect! All your comments are right on to enjoy the popular rides and parks!!!You were using your head! Perfect job!!! Glad you enjoyed all you wanted!!!

Sounds like you had a great time. Which resort did you stay at, or did you stay offsite? Did you hit any of the shows and fireworks? Were they crowded?

We stayed at the All Star Movies. The busses were good. We only had to wait after the SpectroMagic parade about 40 min. Otherwise it was no more than a 10 min. wait.

We watched Wishes, MK parade and Fantasmic. All were awesome. We walked in to Fantasmic 5 min before it started and they just opened up the dining package section and we sat right down. It was great.

We saw all the shows and really no waits. It was really nice.

Glad to hear you had such a nice time with no waits! That is awesome!

Was it packed during spectro?

Also did you see Fantasmic? Wondering if the crowds were high then? How was the seating? I keep going back and forth over should I really do the fdp or not. If I don't need it i'm not sure we really want to eat at h & v.

Thanks!

I just got back, was there from August 24-31. Spectro wasn't what I would call PACKED, but it was crowded. I lined up at the very end of it in Frontierland, literally five minutes before it hit us, and was lucky to get a spot. It was definitely crowded.

As for Fantasmic, ten minutes before it started we were walking past and a CM was standing there calling that there were plenty of SEATS still available and to come on in. We rode Tower of Terror instead, and then headed to Fantasmic as we truly hadn't intended on viewing it. We walked in as it started and they said standing room only, however there were PLENTY of seats still availabe and we did not have to stand. However, I didn't care for Fantasmic and certainly would never line up early to watch it.

I think this was probably a very lightly attended week all the way around. Most schools have started or are about to, and I doubt this was a week where many people in the south with easy access felt much like an impromptu trip.

I'm back today...I was at ASMo too. I found the transportation to be excellent. No waits.

We leave in exactly 7 days. I had read in many places on here that they were expecting a higher crowd? Anyone have any ideas if this will be the case? I am hoping for low crowds too! :confused3
