Just back, joined DVC!!

Hello Everyone,
Well, another successful trip is behind us, but this time we were not so sad to come home because we joined DVC so we will be returing "home" again and again.

Who are we? Elizabeth (mom, planner extraordinare), Doug (dad, wonderful husband), Aiden (10 year old daughter), Avery (9 year old daughter). we also had our friends with us this trip for their first vacation ever. Sandy, Jamie and their two boys, ages 11 and 5.

When? We arrived Friday January 21, and had to leave Monday January 31. This was just the right amount of time for us, and would recommend longer trips.

Where? Pop Century (our second time there). 80's section, room 7244. Far from the food court, so didn't use our mugs as much. No complaints, but since we joined DVC this time we won't be returning. Room was cleaned nicely every day. Resort is lively for kids, buses were great.

We spent the first four days showing our friends the ropes. They had a hard time keeping up with us! After that we continued to hit the parks, and they spent more time at the resort. We met up for ADR's and this was a nice time to catch up, spend time together without getting sick of each other. Doug and I also spent some individual time with each of our girls. Avery ended up having tonsilitis (Doug used the free shuttle to take her to the clinic and got her a prescrition), so she took it a little slower for a couple of days. There were also rides that Aiden liked to do (Tower of Terror) that Ave prefers to sit out. It was nice having time with each of them alone.
The weather was beautiful and sunny, but very cool for the first few days. The second half of the trip was fantastic weather. Only about an hour of rain the whole time, which was fantastic.
Crowds: Not quite as dead as I expected, but no problems at all. Wait times were very manageable for the most part. We rode our favourites multiple times.
We felt that January was a nice time to go, no disappointments except we still didn't see Fantasmic! Oh well, there's always next time!

Welcome new DVC member. You'll love it. We purchased in 1992 and have been using it at least 3 to 4 times a year. Our dd who is now 24, purchased her own DVC (resale) last year.
