Just back - interesting info from CM's re: ADR availability

We just returned from six days at WDW, and I thought I would share some comments we heard re: ADR's. Our Club Level CM's were telling guests to just walk up to restaurants. Apparently, and we heard this from them and from two other CM's at TS restaurants, that since online ADR's became available, people are making tons of them and not cancelling, so there are lots and lots of no-shows. We were lucky to have all of our ADR's in place prior to our trip, but for those who are going and can't get the ADR's they want, I suppose you should take ther advice.

I will tell you that I think this to be true...we never waited very long at all to be seated once checking in, even when we checked in half to one hour early. And there never seemed to be too many people waiting....and this was the first week of Free Dining!

very possible. People started to use the online system since later last year right? it was half phone call half online last year. this year is purely online. Sometimes when you book sth, you don't get that confirmation email. if you have a disney count, you can see your reservations. For people don't have confirmnation emails, or don't have disney count, I doubt they will bother to cancel.

I just did ADRs for the first time for this trip. I've changed up our ADRs a few times and make a point to go online into my account and cancel my ADRs so that other people can have the opportunity to use them. I just found a later CP time for Magic Kingdom on the 24th of Dec so I booked it and then went back and canceled my earlier time.
