First let me tell you that the rates I paid were $139/nt. for one night and $89/nt. for another night. Add in the resort fee and taxes over those rates.

My friend and I had seperate rooms, both deluxe tower rooms.
The plusses. Large rooms, clean and large bathrooms but with only one sink. Nice Body and Bath soaps etc. in the bathroom. Bed was fairly comfortable. Nice view of DTD

Minusses. The hotel rooms looked as if they had not been refurbished since 1971. Carpet and furniture is very old. Bedspread was bright floral print and clashed with draperies. Balcony was teeny. Lots of door slamming in hall. My friends room in the non-smoking section had a cigarette burn mark on one of the chairs. There was also an iron burn mark on the rug. Staff was neither terribly friendly or unfriendly. Busses to WDW did not run on time.

Since this hotel gets lots of high marks from Mary at Mousesavers I just wanted to let you know that I would not pay more than $60 or $70/nt. for this hotel. I was most disappointed. I would have prefered a more modern moderate hotel. If you have a large family and need lots of room, this hotel may work for you. All in all this hotel needs a major refurbishing in the rooms.

I spent the last night at the Renaissance Sea World.....a fabulous hotel. I hope to return there someday!

Sorry to hear they gave you a bad room, I stayed in a Tower Suite, and thought it was great! Nothing like you just described, and the buses ran on time for us all five days in June.
