Just back from a terriffic week at WDW. I had booked a 3* room via Priceline in the MCO area for our first night before moving to AKL and OKW for the rest of the trip. We paid <$40 with taxes and fees for the room. Our flight arrived after 11PM...while DH and DD's fetched the luggage I called the hotel from the courtesy phone in the baggage claim area. The clerk that answered verified our reservation and told us where to meet the shuttle. We got to the pickup just as the van pulled in. We swung by the other terminal to pick up several flight crews that were overnighting there also.
Check in at the hotel was a breeze. I had requested a room with King and sofa beds. When the clerk saw there were 4 of us he called housekeeping to make down the sofa bed. She was already in the room when we got upstairs. Very friendly, left extra towels and blankets without us even asking.
The room was large and nicely decorated. Standard hotel furnishings, but looked fairly new. The bathroom was immaculate and tile and grout was spotless, looked new also. Only soap, shower gel and shampoo for amenities. We did not ever turn on the TV, so I don't know what channels were available. My youngest was in bed, asleep before midnight (and we had stepped off the plane at 11:10 PM!!)
AC was efficient. No airport or hall noise at all. The lobby was much nicer than I would have expected from a HI. Looked like a Hyatt or an Embassy Suites (open, fountains, lots of marble and plants). We did not eat there, but the breakfast buffet got rave reviews from the couple next to me on the airport shuttle the next AM. (I went back to the airport to pick up the rental car). AM shuttles run on the hour and 1/2 hour. On time, nice driver. Pool area was nicely landscaped, lots of lounges and chairs. There were 2 tennis courts.
All in all for what we paid I would give this place an A+. I was a little concerned when we got this one on Priceline the first time, but I would be really happy if we got it again. An excellent value for that first night in town.
